The whole point of what Sylar is doing is exactly what he said at the beginnning of the episode. He wants to prove how everyone are monsters just like him. His main goal isnt to take their powers now, proving this gives him more satisfaction..this is actually clever writing...finally!...wtf is Ando's power?!?!? lol

BTW, that was Echo...hair changes over time...it can grow...lol

Ando has Paulette Hawkins ability, to increase one's ability. Though he can use it to hurt someone too.
