One of these 2 characters will come back, I wonder which one?

I'm sure Sylar isn't dead. Angela already revealed the whole "Who's Sylar's Daddy/Mommy?" storyline that's for sure going down during Volume Four. They can't have killed him off.
And for some reason I just can't accept the fact that Doyle's done. I know he was a minor character but his "death" just seemed so quick. :\
EDIT: Also, we forgot about Scott. Sure it was quick but it was still a death. And all those Primatech guards. :P

That "Magic kill spot" at the base of the neck doesn't work too well considering claire had a branch there before, and peter had a shard of glass there before, not unlike what claire stuck in sylar's head. He's by no means gone.
I was really sad to see both doyle and pine go... they were such great characters.
And to be fair, we only saw one of pine's arms on the floor. He could still be alive with only one arm.

All of those people are about as dead as Freddy Krueger and Jason V.

A chunk of glass didn't kill Peter permanantly, I doubt it will kill Sylar.
Merediths fire shouldn't kill Meredith, either.
Add Hiro's power to that list.

I would say Sylar is closer to knocked out than dead. Claire came back from a blow like that, I think it's safe to say some ****** will take that glass out.

Her fire wouldn't have killed her, however the building collapsing on her is another story.
No i highly dough sylar is gone, whenever the chuck of glass is removed, even if he's ash, he'll probably pop back up good as new and trying to find his birth parents!
btw, I'm adopted and found it rather funny that he called meredith "Bio-mom" when I occasionally call my birth mom the same thing!

Does anyone else wish Sylar was dead? I like the character and actor both, but seriously, they can only do so much more. Thankfully Peter got a reboot making him nearly powerless again, but for a while there I thought this show would go down in a burning planet of Dragonball-esque fire, where every new saga the good guys have just won and the bad guy keeps coming back but only stronger and stronger, on a more and more epic scale.

If Peter, Claire, HRG, Sylar or Hiro died it would be good housecleaning. All they've done this volume is get rid of all of the good characters from season 2, and get rid of most of the meh characters introduced this season. Like the escapees that didn't really end up doing much.
I mean, seriously, did Echo even
escape before he got let out again and got killed without a single line?

He could've done a lot more, but after seeing this volume, it's seems to me that he can't now. Instead of being a villian, he seems to be
the villian. He's being forced into unnecessary plotlines that don't fit his character, instead of just replacing him, or giving him a break. He's also ending up too powerful, even in instances when really shouldn't (vs Doyle), and he ends up being too much of the same (TK, TK, random power that probably won't be used again, headslice, TK).

Main characters don't usually die mid-season. Remember we still have a whole volume ahead of us
And Echo was put in the episode to connect Going Postal to the main show. They never intended for him to do something big.

I don't know, I feel like (for now) they have cleaned house, though it was kind of hit and miss for me. They took care of the whole time travel problem by getting rid of Hiro's power, so Peter can't absorb it.
I hated to see Echo dead, at least send the guy out fighting, that's the way he would have gone. He had a ton of potential and all he was, as someone said, was a corpse.

I liked Knox, sad to see him go.
Question, we know Sylar will live, but did he take the abilities of all those he killed? Echo, the dude with the metal arm?
Sylar needs to be taken down a notch, he's gotten too powerful to stop.
Sylar was on the ground with a glass shank in his head. Why didn't claire or HRG drag his ****** for Meredith to incinerate? Each opportunity to kill Sylar, they ignore. (It's as bad as people not asking questions on Lost)
Peter needs to get to Matt, Claire, and Angela and start gathering abilities. Do you think he got Flints ability too?

I think that the key with Sylar is that he has Adam/Claire's DNA configuration... recall how kensei burned to death in the explosion of white beard's camp, but then regenerated once obstruction either rotted away or was removed?
Yeah, sad thing about immense amount of heat is that it will melt glass. or shatter it. And once glass is melted down enough, regeneration will happen.
But then again, bio-matter usually combusts before glass...

I feel the same way. I like Sylar's character but at this point I'm thinking how many times can they make him cheat death. We know he's going to be back because they've already revealed who his father is but how much more Sylar can we have?

I hear you, but I'm gonna add that women also don't fare well unless they're blond. Reheaded Charlie died, brunette Janice--what happened to her?---monica, hiro's love interest in S2, and maya (mostly) are off the show (although I'm not crying over that last one), hiro's mom died..WILL SANDRA BE NEXT??
Hey, by the way guys, what happened to Claude? Is he officially dead, "Heroes dead" (aka ready to miraculously pop back in whenever convenient), just off doing something else, in hiding, what? I ask because I love the invisibility power and I want peter to get it back.
