so am i forgetting something or is there relatively no way for hiro to get his ability back?

That basically makes him the side kick to ando now. lol
Onimon2007
And Peter can't time travel either...maybe the show's creators decided to just get rid of time travel all together because it was too confusing and created too many loose ends. Though I enjoy the time travel aspect, as long as it's consistent!
Renrut
Maybe the next eclipse will reactivate him.
byerly724
but they got rid of one time travel and had to make another just to save hiro?

They didn't really get rid of time travel so far. I'm just hoping that hiro gets his ability back and for once always stays in the same time period

i mean a sword weilding, time stopping, teleporting hero is powerful enough.

I don't think so because I was thinking it would reactive Peter but it did not. However it seems Mohinder can give people abilities now. In the end with Nathan in the limo it said Mohinder "activates evolution"

They always seem to be able to come up with a way for powers to come back... I hope they at least give him back teleportation eventually.
spiderfrommars
well, no what he doesn't have time manipulation, there will no longer be any more "wtf why didn't he just stop time and make that scene incredibly dry and uninteresting?" posts.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it said "Activating Evolution." :P

As for Hiro, I think he'll get his powers back. If not, why would Nathan be handing over files to the President with Hiro's picture? Plus, Hiro's powers are a fan favourite - maybe not the time travel aspect, but certainly time slowing/stopping as well as teleporting.

Possibly, but it also puts him in a very interesting position when it comes to the Heroes hunt. Does he get hunted too? Does he get off the hook? Will he be the only one who knows enough to try and do anything to help?

I don't think Nathan knew Hiro lost his powers

Let's hope your right... but i seriously doubt that hiro will get his powers back. Nathan only gave "Barack" hiro's picture because he knows that hiro had an ability. He didn't know hiro had lost it in the past to papa Petrelli.

actually that makes for a very interesting plot you have their.

hiro is found and tested for powers. They find he doesn't have any. He then has to track down people on foot. This makes it more like season one hiro. He has to find mohinder to make another formula to save all the other heroes. Bonus for the plot is its an easy way for them to introduce us to new people without it feeling forced on us.

Actually "Activating Evolution" was a lecture brochure from Mohinder's lecture last season.

Whose to say that Nathan was even aware of that fact? It's not like Arthur popped in and told him Hiro no longer had powers, so he might be under false pretenses.

Clearly not a great catch... It said Activating Evolution, you know, as in the book his father wrote...
Onimon2007
What would happen if the public or the President found out that Nathan had powers...would his plan backfire?

Either way, I'm sure Hiro will get his powers back eventually, but not before Ando playing Hero for a while! Santasmile.gif Bout time!
BiggestHeroFan
I was thinking, what if Ando's Amplifier ability can reboot Hiro's ability somehow? Maybe since his DNA is still equipped for it. Why did Future Ando shock Future Hiro? Obviously he wasn't attacking him because his ability has no offense. What if he was giving Hiro back his ability? Since we saw him fall to the ground? I dunno. Just an assumption.

All Nathan has to do is not fly... no one will believe Peter, after all, he's just a nurse. Besides, he loves his evil brother too much to rat him out! Remember how surprised the public was to see "Nathan" fly in "Five Years Gone"?

When Hiro went to future Tokyo earlier this season, Ando was flashing red and "FHiro" only had the sword to defend himself - no powers, methinks. The only difference so far is that there won't be a formula for them to fight over.

That makes sense. If Hiro wanted the formula to get his powers back then Ando could just give them to him.
Renrut
My new theory is that since Arthur already had Hiro's powers from Peter he accidently left Hiro with a tiny amount of his ability that will need to be amplified to work. He wouldn't time travel anymore because if Ando got hurt he would get stuck. He'll just freeze and teleport. IMO
longhorn1219
Ok first of all they made a big deal in this episode about getting the power you really want. The whole series Mohinder has really wanted to give abilities to people. Second why would Nathan give a picture to the president in the middle of the whole list of people with dangerous abilities "this person travels through time, this person starts fires with his mind, and this person writes books". His book never explained how to give ablities it was more like a genetic textbook. And for the guy who said how would Nathan know his power, that was 3 weeks later. In those 3 weeks he coudl have easily found out what Mohinders ability is espeically since his former assistant picked him up.

And for those of you who just love the semantics it said "Activating Evolution" because all the other powers were in current tense as well. I'm sure its clever writing and irony it was the same name as his book.
Keo1239
Longhorn... Every person had a "Power:" label before their powers. Random info was strewn about elsewhere in the file. Such as Hiro being related to Yamagato Industries... Activating Evolution was in that misc info area on Mohinder's file.

Also, why did Nathan rat out Tracy? Odd...

Probably because he fired her because they didn't have the same objective in mind anymore

Those were things they had collected at the company I believe. The Activating Evolution pamphlet you saw said it was a lecture at in Hall A or some place. I think it was the lecture that Bob attended at the start of last year. Notice Peter wasn't on any of those pages. He probably didn't want to implicate himself.
Onimon2007
Good point! I was wondering whether or not Peter was on that. But knowing how Nathan just basically turned Tracy in, couldn't she in turn rat out Nathan. And she'd have Mohinder on her side. Maybe they will both rise up a resistance and do a campaign against Nathan for screwing them over.
Gorbeh
Was Claire in there? Because Nathan's her father so it'd probably be dumb for her to be in if he left out Peter.

I'm thinking that when he wrapped Nathan in a cocoon that was a pretty good display. Also he may be labeling him as a sympathizer who enables the powers. That would make him just as dangerous.
Onimon2007
Well if he left out Claire, he might as well have left out Meredith too because that could link back to him as well. But then again, who's going to listen to a crazed cheerleader who claims a Senator is her 'father?' Also, they only way to prove it is with a blood test, and a blood test would prove that Nathan has powers as well.
themightytruk
Looks like Hiro's powers are gonna be gone, at least for a good while. I don't see a clear way for him to get them back now that the formula is destroyed. Should be interesting to see Hiro operate without them, though his powers were ones I really enjoyed watching. I think Hiro's learned through his journey how to function well without relying on his powers.

Exactly what I was thinking. Ando is the Energizer Bunny, and Hiro need batteries. Santacool.gif

tracy picked up suresh, suresh has labtops..ability granting isnt over. count on it. my confusion stems from where they would obtain another catalyst...or whether the catalyst survived arthur's death.

or perhaps renrut is correct.

Maybe the next eclipse will reactivate him.

While I wish it would because I absolutely love Hiro, that really shouldn't be possible since Peter and Maya didn't get their powers back that Arthur took with the Eclipse in Season 3. :-(

Every eclipse effects the "heroes" differently. This has been stated by the writers many times regarding how/why Adam never died during past eclipse's.
