Where was the Haitian during ALL of this? I mean, last episode he passes out holding back Arthur and this week he just vanishes from Pinehearst altogether? Where did he go and why?

Last week Peter sent him after Sylar at the end. Maybe he pulls Sylar out of the fire.

Good question...he would have been very useful in a few scenes.

No, c'mon guys, the Haitian was conveniently gone because the power-block thing would have made the episode impossible. (Wait a minute, have we ever actually seen a Haitian-Sylar showdown? If the Haitian was able to keep Arthur under control, I think he could get Sylar, at least for a little while. and since apparently the Haitian can do his thing selectively---like stopping arthur but not sylar---the Haitian and peter should totally be able to get sylar next season, if he's not dead..and I can't believe he would be.)

Although Sylar can move unseen from Pinehearst in NJ, all the way to to Primatech HQ in NYC, kill all the guards and commandeer the control room in the same amount of time it takes Nathan to walk into Arthur's office to find his father's corpse, apparently the Haitian was still in traffic. Hope that helps.
*edit* p.s. Since Peter drove on the way there, he probably flew away with the keys in his pocket so the Haitian had to thumb-it back to the city.

Or maybe Angela wanted Sylar to come back to Primatech and gave the Haitian orders to protect him? In Five Years Gone, the Haitian is working for President Sylar too...

the writers need an easy way out...of everything so expect more of that in the future cuz lord knows history repeats itself!

I think the Haitian and HRG are the only characters who've not lost their mystique from season one, HRG is still "gray" in all ways possible and the Haitian is a question mark, otherwise, they've screwed up just about everyone else.

They didn't happen in the same amount of time. They were part of two seperate storylines. The show has proved several times that different storylines don't take place simultaneously.

"Go after Sylar", says Peter. The Haitian nods and quickly exits the room. Sylar then later appears at Primatech via Shadow Walking (sorry, couldn't resist ) yet the Haitian is nowhere to be seen. We saw the previously unmatched Haitian overpowered by Arthur, and also seen Matt break through his nullyfying field in S1. We've seen Sylar effortless crush Doyle, so isn't it very possible the Haitian met his end? I would have assumed he would call Angela to let her know Arthur was dead, and when the call didn't go through, investigate. Yet, again, he was nowhere to be seen in "Dual"...

While I find that speculation unlikely, I do hope we are told what happened to him during "Dual" when he went after Sylar and what happened later, especially if he won't be in Volume 4 (much).
