Parkman - able to here everyone's thoughts in the city
Daphne - able to bend time/space/relativity
now what about everyone else?
Sylar, Peter (empath further distances?), Nathan (fly faster?), Jessica (would she turn into ice woman a la Bobby Drake), Claire (would she grow younger?), Hiro, Micah, Haitian, Angela

Maybe amplifying Claire's power would allow her to heal others. And of course, heal even faster than before, like instantly. Then they could inject adamantium in her and give her claws. ;-)
If Hiro had his power amplified, maybe he could teleport people he wasn't in contact with.
My suggestions are probably really off since they involve other people, but who knows. It opens up a lot of possibilities.

Obviously, in some cases, the ability would just have a stronger range (Peter, Micah, Matt).
As for people others, I suppose it would depend on the situation. Claire might become completely impervious to damage altogether, or Hiro might have even more control over time.
And, not to nitpick, it would be Tracy, not Jessica, that would turn into a true Ice Princess.

There is the odd thought that if he touches Hiro, he might reactivate Hiro's power.

Well currently Ando is an amplifier but it would be cool if his ability can evolve into power editing. He can literally change, evolve, add or erase somebody's power.

I think with Peter we'd see a repeat from Season 1 of when he was in hospital after taking in too many powers. If Matt can hear everyone in the city, imagine how many new powers Peter would pick up at once? The potential for Ando's new power is pretty big, let's hope the writers use it to it's full extent.

Nathan's flying - time travel, due to flying so fast.
Sylar's telekinesis - lift buildings
Sylar's nuclear power - bye bye Tokyo!
Sylar's IA - being able to give others a power he's copied by opening their head and rewiring their brains
Sylar's lie detecting - being able to FORCE them to tell the truth (or a lie, for that matter)
Angela's predictive dreams - bring others into the dream as it's occuring
Tracy's freezing power - like Meredith on adreneline, basically freeze herself solid (oopsie!)

I really,
really hope that they do not head down this path and they only use his power sparingly. I like the show because it's about people with powers, not over the top power displays.

Is this the same power Ando had in the future where he supposedly killed Hiro?
Notice, the formula paper was bought back into the plot. It is still possible that Ando may betray Hiro.
Notice, why didn't Hiro freeze time before Ando "killed" him?
Notice, Ando's powers may not be just amplifying but maybe to selectively amplify and compress
*Imagine. Ando v. Sylar
Ando compresses Sylar (not like Haitian) but he compresses Sylar to using only one ability
*If Ando could do what I said this could explain why Hiro couldn't stop Ando from killing him
*I could be wrong maybe this future dead Hiro is still without powers but wielding his sword to fight a more powerful Ando.
*This may not happen because Hiro already knows this happens and maybe he will dodge his death.
* Ando was too excited when he found out he gained powers. This may lead him to a path of darkness. Why else would he have killed future Hiro?
This Volume 4 Fugitive might make Ando want the formula to pull a Magneto and turn everyone into evolved humans because of Nathan Petrelli's Holocaust for people with abilities...

The future where Hiro saw himself battling Ando is gone. That future was changed with the destruction of the catalyst, the ready-made formula, Pinehearst, etc.
Given what the writers have said, I think they have learned their lesson from this season and we'll see the end of formulas, catalysts, etc. because it isn't very gripping stuff. They appear to be getting back to focusing more on the people again. I'm pretty sure the whole thing with the formula ripping was just their cutesy way of explaining how the tearing of the formula in half occurred.

I love Ando's ability! It's a great idea for a power, but at the same time doesn't make him the most powerful, or have any sort of power to be honest. If Ando zapped someone normal, would they manifest an ability?

Ando got the ability DLs Mom had in the GNs which is augmentation.
That means he can increase/extend the power of a powered individual to its full potential.
Paulas ability were used on lewis in the GN to 100% and you can see the outcome..
With other words its a supportive and passive power which would be totally useless if no one else would had powers like Peters and Sylars main abilities as well.
The big difference is that Andos ability is neither defensive nor active and helps him in no way no matter the occassion.

only problem with that is, it wouldn't work with those who don't possess cellular regeneration. note, every time sylar sliced open someone's head that didn't have that ability died. unless, it would be like a combination of that empathy power and IA - he just touches them and figures out how to "rewire" them just by doing that.

it looks like that to me. i don't understand why it killed future hiro but yet, we see that it can amplify people's abilities.

I am pretty happy that they did not give Ando an offensive power at least. Keep him as a side kick, it's his role, not everyone needs to be a hero.

What do you mean? Ando already was a hero, he just didn't have any powers. At any rate, he should be a useful partner to anyone with another power now.

Merged posts: What would Ando's power do to Hiro?
So Ando now has that power that he "kills" Hiro with in the future. Although, its not lethal electricity like previously assumed...it's a power amplifier. So what would that do to someone with Hiro's ability?
OH wait, Hiro doesn't have his ability does he? So what would it do to someone with no abilities?
HMMMMmmmmmm..mmmmm...mmmm chicken..

i think it would have no effect on someone with abilities, and about him killing Hiro in the future, his abilities will evolve and probably be able to do some more things than just amplify powers

Ando's power is the most badass power in the history of heroes! He can make his friends stronger + he can zap the crap out of his opponents with red lightning. BADASS!
The question is does he have to touch someone to augment their powers?

i theorize that, if Hiro still had his powers Ando's powers would:
Cause hiro to attain complete control over time and space.
In other word he would be in every point in time and space at the same ... time.
Omnipresence. is the ability to be present in every place at any, and/or every, time; unbounded or universal presence. It is related to the concept of ubiquity, the ability to be everywhere at a certain point in time

Actually we never really saw Ando killing Hiro in the future. All of that was only the (mis)interpretation of Hiro. Actually, what we (and Hiro) saw in the future might have only been Andro trying to enhance Hido's power. So he was HELPING him.
Unless his red lightning is also an offensive ability, which sounds weird to me (too different from power enhancing ability).

maybe ando's power evolves to a power regeneration/amplifier and he is shocking Hiro to get his power back...

as for how it would impact those with multiple powers (ie sylar and peter) my thought is that it would only impact their original ability not all that they have acquired.

Maybe the world blows up when Ando shakes hands with someone with Ted's ability.
Ando and the Haitian = mass amnesia or mass power loss.
Ando and Molly = locating specials anywhere in the milky way galaxy.
Ando and the Puppet Master = Olympic Gold Medal as coach of the U.S. Syncronized Swimming Team.

Ando: Give me the formula!
Hiro: No! You betrayed me!
Ando: *enhances Hiro's power*
Hiro: *passes out*
Ando *takes formula*
I don't think so.

Perhaps he is enhancing Hiro's power to time manipulation to cause his heart to speed up through time, causing him to die of old age in a matter of seconds.

Orginally that scene was shot as a showdown between Ando, Traci, and Claire v. Knox, Peter and Hiro. At the least we can say that interpretation of the future is not happening. As far as Hiro and the Ando shocker ... I imagine there will be a pseudo-showdown towards season's end.

Hiro tore up the formula so shouldnt that encounter be meaningless now?
Or are we assuming the formula will come back into play in "fugitives". I would like the formula to make a brief appearance only to give hiro his powers back...then move on to next arc.

I guess:
Ando and Micah = Micah can "talk to every machine at the sam moment without touching them
Ando and Haitian = block all abilitys in a distance of dunno, maybe 100Miles and "delete minds" without touching
Ando and Claire = Heal all peoples around Clair, too
Ando and Invisible Man = Make all people arround them invisible, so that nobody see nobody
Ando and Jessica (Tracy) = Hands with "minus fire" so like liquid N around the hands or so
Ando and Sue Sanders = Each guy in your radius have to say the truth
Ando and D.L = Make things (all solid materials) phasing so that everyone can go throught
Ando and Pyrokinesis = control the fire, so that you can make eg. a big fire fist od a fire wall
That are my imagination what ando can do with the other heroes.

Ando's power can be used in defensive and offensive ways. All he has to do when fighting another special is zap them to the max and they overload like Meredith did.
