I was just watching the Heroes Halftime Commercial. At one point Nathan was flying and my thoughts took off. I believe that Heidi, Like Simone; Is a child of someone with an ability. Possibly one of the Founders. If I am correct, The Dominion will never be the same.

In one of the episodes in Vol.3 Nathan was going on and on(and on and on...) about how he was manipulated by his Parents all his life. At one point Nathan said(Paraphrased) "I even married the Girl Dad wanted me to"

We know that Daniel Linderman arranged for Nikki and D.L.(Synthetic/Natural) to meet. Claude's discussion with Peter about Darwin's Pigeons strongly suggests to me that Linderman had a full scale Eugenics Program. I had once believed that there was a possibility that Sylar had been an early result of the Program; Believed to be a failure and placed with the Grey's.

We know from the events of Vol.3 that at least some of the Company's founders believed so strongly that HEB's were superior that they began looking for ways to Artificially speed up the process of Human Evolution.

Nathan, Like Nikki, is a Synthetic. I feel that Nathans earlier relationship with Meredith which produced Claire-Bear may also have been deliberately arranged.

If Arthur, and presumably Angela; felt so strongly that this Marriage/Breeding should take place that they pushed/forced it upon Nathan; Then I feel certain that Heidi's lineage is such that Arthur and Angela strongly believed that this pairing stood a much greater chance of producing offspring with the Godsend.

I agree with your thinking on the Company eugenics program, however, your theory on Nathan's marriage being part of it would need some key things in order to be true. If certain parental ability combinations statistically result in certain powers for children (As was, I believe, the case with Micah), the Company would have to know what those parental abilities were. Since we've seen children of Founders who display no abilities (Nathan, Simone, Kimiko) you would then have to assume that Angela had dreamed not only Nathan's as-yet un-manifested ability, but Heidi's as well, sometime after his injection with the original Formula yet still years before the 1st eclipse. She did tell Nathan that she'd dreamed of his and Peter's abilities, yes, but why would she dream of Heidi who (as far as we know) STILL hasn't manifested, and before they were even married?

There has been a lot of hints of a breeding program, but no definite proof (yet.)

I think Simon and Monty have abilities as well, but for another reason. I think Grandpa Petrelli probably arranged for them to get the formula with their flu shots with no one the wiser. It's the kind of thing he would do.

I agree that proof is lacking. Most of the evidence I presented was to help establish the type of people we are dealing with, so as to address the question of whether such a thing is possible.




Interesting Idea. I agree with you that Arthur would do such a thing, But to our Knowledge, Arthur did not have a working(Safe) formula to use for that purpose.

Well, there goes my theory....By the way it is possiable they could naturally have abilities. Special +Normal can = Special child, although it's less likely. For BOTH sons to naturally have abilities is pushing genetic probability. (Mind you I'm assuming that synthetic genes work the same as natural ones.)
