1. Nathan is kidnapping Specials. Though eavesdropping on Grandma Angela.

2. Yatta! Hiro is alive. Last time she saw him Hiro was plummeting to his death in the past after Arthur took away his powers.

3. Daddy isn't hunting Sylar but everybody else.
ChicagoCubz
True about Hiro, but keep in mind 2 months took place between then and now. Not sure if we're getting a "2 months ago" or anything this volume, but maybe we'll get something that explains it.
Craggster
Daphne went back in time and saved Hiro.

The point is that Claire doesn't know that. And I do think she was surprised to see him. She let out this gaspy "Hiro?" when she unmasked him. It's just that other things were going on that were a little more pressing at the time.

She was definitely surprised to find her dad in the cockpit of that plane, so I'm not sure what the point is here. And as far as her being surprised at Nathan/Angela, I figure she's become like me: nothing they do can surprise her anymore.
Synch
I'm not really sure what the point of the OP is. Are you pointing out things that did, or that you think didn't, surprise her?
RedWolf
Well those things did surprise her.

Claire believed the reason Noah was going on "business trips" again is because Sylar is still alive.

Oh the look of betrayal at both her fathers. Daddies issues much.

But Hiro is a special surprise for her. His actions saved her more than once. The only time she meets him she thought he died.

Even if that wasn't the case Hiro was trapped in the past powerless. How can he still look the same, not aging one bit?

Clair is clearly in communication with Matt and he might have told her. Or Hiro himself contacted her. Or even HRG might have told her Hiro is okay.

Clair doesn't know what HRG is up to. She thinks Sylar is still alive and HRG is hunting him. She isn't aware of what Nathan and Angela are up to either.

What's surprising in that?

What is clear, in regard to Sylar, is someone is countermanding Sen. Nathan Petrelli's orders to kill him with "a bullet in the head".

I'm guessing that Angela still has a lot of influence and isn't just because her son is a Senator.

While not his mother, I'm guessing that Angela has some connection to Sylar--godmother, or aunt or something like that.

Nobody has been in contact with each other since both Primatech and Pinehearst burned down.

They've been staying low.

Well on the other hand Hiro since he doesn't powers anymore tried to play Wilton Knight setting up shop with a abandoned firehouse and had the Ando-Cycle built for Ando to be his Michael Knight.

One man can make a difference and such.

The surprising thing to me is that Claire heard Nathan was going to take down Peter and Parkman. Claire calls Peter and warns him about- the danger to Parkman! Lame, Claire. But this is Claire and this is Peter- so maybe I shouldn't be surprised she forgot to warn him that Nathan was out to get him.

I was responding to the OP because I thought he meant that Claire wasn't surprised and should have been. I agree that we don't know what Claire may have learned about the other characters in the interim, but Claire was surprised to see Hiro. Either she was surprised to see him there on the plane right then, or she was surprised to see him at all. Time will tell.

I thought the exact same thing. Why wouldn't she say that she heard Nathan say he was going to take Peter down. So be careful when you see Nathan, Peter. I guess she wasn't thinking clearly. Why am I not surprised.

Mohinder hasn't been in contact with anybody and laying low.

Clair had Matt's address and number, she must be in contact with him.

Clair could have communicated with Hiro months ago, before knowing of Nathan's plans, which she just found out.

Hiro and Ando are unaware of what Nathan is up to being in Japan.

Clair did not know that Hiro was going to be taken down and didn't communicate with him about it.

Why didn't Clair warn Peter?

Its probably a script continuity problem the Producers didn't catch.

Well Peter and Nathan didn't end on the best of terms and I'm sure Claire knows that. Perhaps she figured Peter would be staying away from Nathan anyway or he at least he'd know something was up.
