Claude was an amazing character he brought so much spice to the show I don't know why he left he was one of my favorite characters at the time.

They always say they are working on getting him back. He may dislike "revisiting" roles but his character still has answers, secrets, and a story to spill.

And if they can't get the actor to agree to it due to that dislike, then there's nothing they can do about it.

If the writers feel the need to go more tell-all with Claude, they can do it through graphic novels, iStory, and other extra online content - provided it fits with the storylines they go for, rather than just caving into fans saying "we want more!".

Believe me, I'm disheartened that he doesn't like to revisit roles as well, for more than just the Claude thing. What I'd love to see more than him as Claude is him in a multi-Doctor episode (or mini-episode) of Doctor Who.

they did get him into the GN with elle where it seemed like he was training other specails.Now i have to go check to see how she found him,but i dont think he was working for the company.After that episode though i doubt he will come back out in the open for awhile.Oh Yea!! The doctor would be nice but i don't think he's ever going back there.

I would like to see him back. He needs to train Simon and Monty Petrelli for their futures and then they can leave Heidi in the dust (he he, I just had to throw that in).

I think I was being too kind when I said he "dislikes" revisiting roles. From the internet chatter, the more appropriate term is closer to "hates."

I would love to see him back, but it seems extraordinarily unlikely. About the best you can hope for is appearances in the online content and references in the show.

Or flashbacks with a younger Claude.

i want claude back too he was awesome chris is always an awesome actor i remember the line when he said to peter in season 1, "You wanted to know why I was invisible all these years. It was because of them, and you've brought the bastards right to my door!" and the other 1 was funny "And when you've left New York a smoking wasteland, we'll put that on your tombstone: Here lies Peter Petrelli. He tried."

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Anyway, there's been a lot of talk recently about Claude being the "unexpected return" in the finale. There's no concrete proof, just the hopes and dreams of many. But if Christopher Eccleston really hates repeating roles that much, I'd better hurry up and squash out all my expectations sometime in the next 2 weeks; I can't be disappointed if I was never "appointed" in the first place, and that way I could scream and curse at whoever the returning character really is.

What would really upset me is if my nightmare came true.

Actually, I am but I don't mind being wrong especially about something like that. As it is I sent messages to "Rebel" to save Claude. And I know you've seen my sig file below. I use that on the NBC boards as well here.
