Was anyone else annoyed by the fact that they used the same comic book store from Lawrence, Kansas AND the one in Japan? I usually don't complain about stuff like this but I don't know it just kind of bothered me.

Must be a successful chain of comic book stores.
Alordo
Could very well be. It is the Heroesverse, so there is that.
Leek
Yeah, I thought clearly it is a chain. I think that is pretty cool. Like in the Heroesverse, among the Heroesverse nerds, Sam's comics is where it's at.
Citizen
I don't think there was Sam's Comics in Japan, but I could be wrong. And yeah, it must be a chain.

I personally have no problem with Sam's Comics being a chain store in the Heroesverse. smile.gif

Hiro and Ando went there while Hiro had the mind of a ten year old. They found a "precog" 9thWonders issue and so on...

They went to both, the first comic they got was in Japanese.

I like it. A comic book chain within the Heroes universe. There isn't just one Sam's comics store, but several of them around the world. Pretty cool and I like the continued inclusion of a comic store on the show.

I actually prefer it biggrin.gif

I think it's kind of cool, but I chalk it up to production value & wanting to use the same set multiple times rather than building a completely new one for different locations.
SaberProductions
When I realized it was Sam's Comics, I was like "Where are Breckin Meyer and Seth Green?!?!" Lol. I know they were only guest stars, but they were SOOO much fun. XD
HERΟ
Well, I haven't seen any official confirmation from the HEROES ptb, but I figured that the Sam's Comics seen in Japan and Kansas, etc., were tips' o' the hat to Jeph's son, Sam (an old link with info ya might not know and/or be interested in...). What an amazing guy!

Also, when ya get the chance, you should find a copy of Superman/Batman #26 and "Sam's Story" (I have 2 covers biggrin.gif); I think you'll think it's cool what was shared! smile.gif

Where's the snapback, HERO? Haven't there been previous topics on the comic book store posted here before?

I guess everyone is used to HERO doing the "legwork" for us and when he doesn't put a link or five in a post, we are surprised and/or disappointed. I certainly don't mind the links. I don't always follow them, but it's nice to have access to information I might not otherwise be aware of or had forgotten about.

In this case, I didn't know about Jeph's son or the comic book he worked on. It makes sense they would name the chain after him in this show and it's a nice tribute if that is indeed the case.
