The approximate distance between Washington D.C. and the eastern edge of California (not sure where Costa Verde is supposed to be) is 2100 miles. Peter arrived to rescue Matt almost exactly 4 minutes after he left Danko's apartment making his flight speed no less than 31,500 miles an hour.(increasing the deeper into CA the town is supposed to be) I'm just saying.
*edit* I meant to type "I'll just leave this here." Apparently typing with my feet while making chimp noises is not the most effective means of internet communication..?

Whoah. Is this another of those "Father Christmas can't exist because he'd incinerate at the necessary speed" things?

To be fair how did Nathan's goons get to California so fast also? That makes me think it was longer than 4 minutes inbetween. The amount of time things happen on screen isn't the actual amount of time, for instance I think the three of them and HRG were in the motel room for a few hours.

Hm, I assumed Nathan's organization had strike teams across the US.

I hear ya! I also think much time passed offscreen, but how much? even up towards an hour between when the agents enter and HRG strolls out with Matt means Peter was flying above and beyond the re-entry speed of the shuttle.

Out of what I can best call mild curiosity, why is this a problem? lol

It's not, we just like to argue.

Maybe this is a bit of character growth? You know, the problem he had before was that he had all these powers but didn't really know how to use them and now he is stuck with just the one. Hopefully, he's learning how to push this power to it's max and will then be able to translate that to other skills.

So, if you were to crash into raindrops at 31,500 mph, would that feel like going hunting with ****** Cheney?

I suppose he and Nathan have a force field when flying, just like Cannonball from the X-Men. Otherwise the air resistance alone might kill them.

(like 2 weeks later) Nah, this can't be. Haven't you seen Nathan's hair after flights? It's all frazzled.

Depending on hair length, the force field doesn't extend that far.
