I am in love with every second of this episode. Seriously this is so close to the feeling season one gave me.
I loved the speech Samson gave Sylar and all of that dialogue. Baby Matt is simply adorable and a nice twist. I also loved the Claire comic book store stuff. Then her choosing her path. Season three keeps getting better and better.

I especially love the ending with Nathan coming for Claire because that was just great and really not what I expected. When I saw her floating outside the window with Nathan I literally screamed. I swear they always take Nathan to the point where you think he can't be redeemeed and then they pull a stunt like that. They did it in S1 with him coming to Kirby Plaza and they did it in this episode.
Missed Peter in the episode but still that doesn't make it any less awesome.

That was a fantastic episode. The Sylar/Samson scene ranks up there with the best of the entire series for me.

I really enjoyed this episode also. It seemed like things were slowing down but, they really picked it up with this episode; like I knew it would sooner or later. Angela is so smooth.

Loved the preview for the next episode. An episode that can only be described as classic = code for Bryan Fuller's return to the show. Tracy in the Fortress of Solitude looks wicked, and Matt Parkman Jr is extra cute, even if Hiro and Ando's story ends up being a bust for the millionth time. Time to wake up my inner fanatic.
…Oh, this thread is for positive comments about "Shades of Gray." Well, it was pretty cool when Danko pushed Nathan out of the window and discovered his secret. Yup.

It was so amazing that I have NO words! I cannot wait Two Whole Weeks! This reminds me of the feeling I felt all through the Season 1...
Truly this episode Rocked.
Side - Note ~ I actually got my converter box to let me see it "Live". * Maybe it's because the neighbor's are gone?
Perhaps Heroes must always be watched "Live" to be the best? (Speculation, on my part.)
... *Deep Sigh* I wish that my friend would have given Season 3 a chance. I Know she would have been Blown Away by this episode too... Alas, she abondoned Heroes during Season 2, and cannot be convinced it's back on form. (She watches Chuck, yuck! No offense to you fans of it. I'm just not a comedy-type of person.)

I agree, this episode did feel a little like season one. You know it's good when you don't want it to end, and season one was like that every episode it seemed.

Loved this episode, although Matt's bomb defusing scene was a bit anticlimactic. I loved the ending with Matt Parkman's son (he's cute! lol) and Danko walking in with Sylar in the next room. Wish there was more Hiro and I wish they would reveal the Rebel already, but this episode was awesome.
Anyone know why the next episode is in two weeks?

I quite liked this ep. I liked tracys part where she pretty much makes it clear what she thinks of nathan. in a way her speakign the way she did made danko go after him that way. if she had said he had powers then there woulda been no reason to go to extremes.
i also cant WAIT for 2 weeks to be up!

Totally agree.
The Sylar/Samson scene was awesome. Quinto never ceases to amaze me at how he can make you feel sorry for Sylar and then completely creeped out by him in the same scene. So glad to see Sylar back in the game playing with the big dogs again too...loved the touch with the bunny on Danko's table. (By the way, Danko might want to think about getting a home security system, lol). John Glover was great as Samson. He sure perked up and got over his doom and gloom attitude when he saw that healing power...but he was pretty shocked to find out that he was actually the bunny in that match-up with his son.
Glad that Nathan's now back on the right side. Having him fly to California to rescue Claire was great. Doyle is such a good character with a really cool ability...glad they kept him out in the world. Lawrence does an amazing job with that character and takes creepiness to new heights. Bringing Parkman's son back into things was a nice touch too. Angela continues to steal episodes with just a few lines. The way she sent Danko off with his tail between his legs all while sipping her champagne and sucking down oysters was fantastic.
This was the first episode that Bryan Fuller had input into after his return to Heroes..coincidence that the episode rocked? I think not. I used to immediately re-watch episodes after they aired but stop doing that awhile ago because the show had lost so much steam...but this episode was great and really has me excited about the rest of Volume 4..think I'm gonna go re-watch this episode right now!

Brilliant!
Easily the best episode since season 1 and a complete 180 from last week.
We even have a believable Nathan back.

Where to begin..the whole episode was great.
-My favorite scene was Angela and Danko in the restaurant. I love Angela and her power plays and how she shows no fear.
-I actually am interested in what happens to Claire and Sylar again. It's been awhile.
-Have to give John Glover props for a great performance. And what the heck is that new power.
-Doyle was great. I am glad he didn't die. Hopefully, we will see him again.
-The scene where Tracy faces off first with Nathan and then with Danko. I really liked the shot of just the right side of Tracy's face as Nathan was leaving and telling Danko he can do whatever he wants with her. The look in Tracy's eyes was just so good. Go Ali!
-The Nathan/Danko/Bennet/Angela stuff was great.
-I like how there was a good amount of power usage but it still took a backseat to the characters and story.
-And baby Parkman was a nice reveal.
Overall, I give it a 9.5/10.

this episode was really good. it got me excited about heroes again and seeing the next episode.
definitely alot of "talk to the screen" moments - samson gray's whistling power, baby parkman, claire & nathan at the end, seeing nathan on video and also him getting pushed out the window, more awesomeness from rebel, doyle laying on the BS and his look while walking away lol
the dialouge and storylines were great. i hope they keep it going and keep exploring all you can do with the powers (i.e. parkman using his power to defuse the bomb, nice).
EDIT: also loooved the part where sylar's dad was like "did you think we were gonna have some epic father/son battle? not gonna happen"

especially funny since thats EXACTLY what me and my bf were waiting for. hahaha.

I though it was fantastic.

Nathan was the star on this one, for me. Looove him!!
Angela, Danko, Tracy and HRG were also incredible. Nate vs. Danko, Angela’s scene at the restaurant, and Tracy’s -“He was lousy in bed”... pure awesomeness. Might be the first time in history a guy was actually relieved to hear that LOL
But the preview for the next episode is what really got me hyped, it’s going to be epic. Can’t believe I’ll have to wait 2 weeks!

I loved this episode too. It shows were heading bak into season 1 territory and it just gets better. Claire is really starting to take charge and get into the game. I wonder if now she's going to meet her brothers Simon and Monty since her free pass is over? Nathan rocked this episode and I loved it. Sylar and his father was great to watch as well and makes you wonder if Samson is going to target Claire now. I can't wait for season 4 next year because it's going to rock, I mean really rock

I LOVE volume four. I love it, love it, love it, love it.
Only downside (apart from no Peter, but I was prepared for that and am still feeding upon the goodness that was last week) was: very little Hiro. He could have used some more after two weeks of Hiro diet. But I really loved everything. Claire's job interview was hilarious. The resolution of the bomb plot was totally anticlimactic and therefore GREAT. I loved how they toyed around with season one schemes. Sylar's meeting his father was a great touch too, not unforeseeable, but good. The stuffed bunny is hilarious.
My favourite parts have to be the scenes of Danko nosing around the Petrelli family, with Angela's regal oyster reception as this episode's undisputed highlight. That was so great on so many levels.
The ending was really well done too, with the voiceover and the goon squad storming the Bennet house - and Nathan with Claire outside the window.
It was a great mix of pretty much everything I love about Heroes!

That was what made this episode a solid 10 for me. Justr to see her, floating outside her window with the other Dad she hates was just too awesome.

I kind of pouted at the lack of Peter too but he's nursing(zing!) an injury and he got to be awesome two weeks in a row so I guess he deserves a break.

So do I. The writers have really come through as far as getting back to the good stuff and the show should be recognized for it.

SO much to love in this episode, there are no words to describe it, definitely the high point of season 3 so far, and yet, I can only describe how awesome it was with probably the least important scene in the whole episode:
ANGELA PETRELLI STOLE SOCKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know why this made such an enormous impact on me. But it did, the nostalgia and throw back to the first episode in such a tiny unimportant detail was like a blow to the face, it just took me by surprise.
This is the episode I think I'll show people who think Zach Quinto can't act, the man was amazing in every scene. And Samson was just the perfect dad for Sylar. I loved their interaction. I loved their scenes. I loved the meaning behind everything they talked about. Incredibly, nothing that happened in the previous volume FEELS like true character develpment for Sylar, but these scenes with Samson actually made me understand Sylar. Amazing.
Danko is the most menacing man in the universe despite being so short and thin, my God, that man looks impenetrable, there's just no way to one-up him........ except of course.... by the Queen of One-Up-Ness, Angela, who STOLE THE SHOW with the restaurant scene.
And Doyle! Oh my God, Doyle! This guy is amazing, no wonder he has easily become one of the most memorable characters of the season, he steals every scene he's in, he manages to always be creepy even when he's being good, and still move you when he cries. He rules.
This episode rocks. If "Cold Snap" is supposed to be better than this, MAN, I really can't wait for it.

I was sitting at home watching it and adding my own script to their conversation lol me and a room full of people were laughing histarically as Angela slirped away at her oysters while punking the hell out of Danko.. " Mmmmmm cupcakes.. these oysters are gooood! Get Out of my face you little Lady! it was followed by a round of applause... WORD! I just spent the last three nights reading all of otto's reviews on that blog (yes, I mean the review of every single episode of every single season). Yes, I officially one-upped you for the "Most Obsessive Award", GoldSeven.
They're so funny, and so dead-on! I disagree with some of his rankings (he's a little inconsistent...for instance, sometimes a 2.5 episode is really utterly crap and sometimes it's actually pretty good) but his comments are perfect. For all those who haven't seen them yet, I highly recommend them.
