I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Who is it that captured the Puppet Master and snuck him into Doyle's apartment? I don't think the Puppet Master is dead because he gasped, but how is it possible that he is subdued? I personally think it is Sylar that did it, anyone else think it is him or someone else?

sylar for sure
why would they show him at the end of last episode and then magically take him out at the beginning of this one? pointless you would think, so that's why i think it was him

I have no idea. I was so confused.
How did Sylar find him? How did Sylar transport him?

He's Sylar. Finding specials is a hobby of his, I hear he's pretty good at it.
He still has TK, so transporting him wouldn't be too hard, concealment being the only problem. And I hear he's pretty good at being sneaky too...
As for why, I'm not sure but it's likely an effort to get in good graces with Danko so he can use him to lead him to the "cream of the crop" of the specials that are still out there. A nasty team up, if that's the case.

yes i felt somewhat confused by that scene particularly after the way the previous episode ended.i assummed sylar has become involved in danko's game for some reason and delivered puppetmaster as a show of faith.

Better yet, if it is Sylar, why didn't he do the thing he has done in every other single episode, cut off the person's head and take their ability? The puppet master's ability would be a rather useful one to have for someone like Sylar I would think. If it is Sylar, maybe this is like the whole cat routine, when a cat loves its master it brings a dead animal to its master as a token of love. Is Sylar doing the same thing? Presenting his "master" with a gift?

i doubt sylar would want the puppet masters ability after he already figured out a way to beat it with TK. He probably sees that ability as a lesser version of something he already has, so what would be the point in having it?

"Danko doesn't trust me."
"Then make him trust you. Give him one of us."
Sylar didn't want Doyles power last time he beat him, why would he want it now?
I just want to know why they ended the last episode with Sylar hiding in his apartment, with a stuffed Rabbit then showed Danko being alone with Doyle hanging around.

Yeah, this was a bit odd to me. My guess it is Sylar working on getting Danko to see him as an ally. Last episode we saw a quick shot of Sylar in Danko's place as Danko enters, but I'm guessing that may have been a time jump and we'll see what happens there in a future episode. Just gotta wait and see.

Yeah, I think he's doing the same thing Angela told Noah to do. Give him one of them, to gain his trust.

I agree that Sylar's trying to form an alliance. If he gets on Danko's good side, then he gets unfettered access to any power he desires. It's a mutualism in its finest form; Danko gets rid of the evolved humans, Sylar gets more power.

So sylar sneaked in with no visible signs, left a bunny, but the puppet master there, then he walked out the door and set of the alarm? Also wouldn't Denko have noticed a whole room redecorated already?

Sylar needs a new hobby so he will now hunt for the other special powers people. Remember the clips in the beginning showing how Sylar went after the guy who had a tough skin and the women who can change her appearance to blend into the walls.
Sylar will be Danko pet hound like in the Xmen

Well Danko came home at night to find the bunny. He probably searched his place but of course Sylar was no longer just hiding behind that wall. What else would he do at that point, sit against his door all night with a gun in his hand waiting for whoever it was to come back? No, he's got too much pride for that. So he went to sleep.
The next morning he gets up and finds Doyle in his kitchen. I'm guessing that's why the scene with him shaving was so stylistic - to make sure the viewer notices that it's morning and Sylar has come and gone.

I too am confused as to the timing of stuffed bunny one night next morn puppet master appears. I agree I could be Sylar but still the timing of leaving his dad w/bunny in tow. then Dankos apt then go to Costa Verde where Claire left Dolye then transport back to Danko? I must have missed a day or so...
but best line was Danko to HRG's question, "im smarter than the average bear",nice, nice way to credit. i see the pride before the fall on that one.

Agreed. Most men shave as part of their morning get-ready-for-work routine. They were clearly telling us that time had passed- Danko got home at night when Sylar left the bunny. He woke up the next day when Sylar left Doyle.

Yea, I viewed it in the same way. He left the rabbit as a present to let Danko know somthing was up. Danko went to bed, Sylar returned with Doyle, and left him a bigger present this time. He is wooing Danko like a guy giving a girl some flowers and chocolates.

Honestly, I think the rabbit was just a symbol, letting us know that Sylar had taken his father's lessons to heart. Remember, Sylar seemed a bit shaken when his father accused him of only going after weak, easy targets. He just brought a pretty big target to probably one of the most dangerous targets around.

I was expecting some type of "Bunny joke" and at least a few words with Sylar and Danko in the same apartment.
I felt sorry for Doyle. Poor guy, gets away with Claire's help and then strung up like that.
The Syko blend is funny. They probably will have a psycho type of business relationship.

How did Sylar catch Doyle?
Well, in the commentary, Fuller mentions a scene they had to cut of Doyle visiting a marionette story where he is talking to the owner of the store about the craft of puppeteering. The scene ends with the reveal that he is unknowning talking to Sylar. (I am presuming the conversation occurring with Sylar's face somehow concealed. His back turned or something). Anyway, I figure Sylar used that computer to find the last place Doyle was spotted and staked out the nearest puppet store. Knowing Doyle would visit to replace what he lost when his theatre burned down, information also found on the computer.

The poor guy seems to keep doing work that no one gets to watch, especially his scenes with Sylar! But I suppose this "reveal" is more intriguing, and keeps our brain juices in better circulation...

I think the rabbit is a symbol too... I think it can be interpreted to mean "game", that Sylar is implying that he will be "the hound for the hunter" (or at least pretend to be so until he gets into the proper position to exact his agenda) to hunt the "games" for Danko.
Or that it is can be interpreted to mean "prey", that Sylar is showing that he wishes to form an alliance with Danko as "predator to predator", working together and sharing their "preys".

My question is this. Why would a paranoid type of person like Danko go to bed without checking his apartment when he noticed the rabbit. Especially after peter got the jump on him just a couple episodes ago in the same apartment?
