Was I the only one who wondered about the person sitting behind Angela with their back to the camera? Could that have been a certain someone close to her who's been notoriously absent lately, or maybe just a coincidence?

You can say who you think it was.

Kinda looks like the Haitian.

great observation there, looks like the haitian indeed!

no, sorry, just looks like a bald black guy to me
and as you can see from this screenshot when he's turned sideways, he looks quite a bit chubbier of the cheeks than the haitian

Good find! I also noticed watching it again online there seems to be a woman sitting across from him as well. Hard to imagine the Haitian on a date...what would she call him?

It could be Angela's thug when she had Rachel Mills. He was in shadow unseen.

You'll probably find him listed in the full credits as something along the lines of
Black Man At Restaurant.
He's nobody. Just someone they threw in there to fill the scene so it would look like the place was full.

I thought it was the Haitian for a second too. Being that I'm a bald black man, I definitely didn't think it was all folks look alike situation. Also, in that pic, the "sideways" shot is not a sideways shot. That's the light brown scarf that the guy's table companion was wearing. He was faced the opposite way the whole time.
Alas, it wasn't the Haitian because there was no reason to NOT show him. Plus, I don't ever recall seeing him out on a lunch date before.

Actually, it is a sideways shot. That's not a scarf, it's part of his face. (Look at it closely, and you'll see that it's his cheek and jowl.)

Why is everyone concerned about the bald black stranger behind
Angela who has no indication of being
The Haitian besides just being black, bald and nearby
Angela?
Is no one interested about
Millie, and why she's the one
Angela turned to in this crisis?
Could she be a sister (not of the
Pushing Daisies' habit-wearing variety, but the family type)? They do look rather alike in some ways...
They did hire the wonderful actress
Swoosie Kurtz for the part after all, and I hope we'll see more of her in this show!

Jimmy Jean-Louis said in an interview he didn't have any appearances in this volume (so far) back when they were working on this very episode. Would have been cool to see him accompanying Angela when she left the restaurant.

How is that a spoiler? He could still appear in episodes 21-25, I'm just clarifying that he wasn't in this episode at all. :/

Yup. She thinks Angela's addicted to pills, 'nuff said.

I thought Millie was interesting... in a way.
In reality though, who carries a couple hundred dollars on them just to do something.
She was very wrapped up in herself and her morning even after seeing Angela so out of sorts.
I'm glad she let Angela take the money (and the umbrella) though.

Rich people who read books about trickle down economics and spend their days in Pilates classes. Or as Bryan Fuller called them, the famous "Ladies who lunch"

I can't speak for anyone else, but I was exited about it because the Haitian is AWESOME, I really want him back on the show and I have no idea who Swoozie Kurtz is.. In all honesty, when I saw that name in the credits, I thought it was the babysitter for Baby Matt...lol. "This sitting service bites!"

Millie is the woman she met with who made the joke about being mugged, right? I really thought she was played by the same actress as Angela. They looked just alike to me for some reason. I assumed she was her sister at first.
