I can't believe we just saw Daphne die!

OMG! On the last episode, she was killed off! I don't want her to be dead. One of the two reasons I watch the show is to see the romance between Matt and Daphne! I hope they don't just kill her off like that! I really want them to make her live or something! It's not fair to Matt now!

A: Daphne is alive and well, well not so well but alive i believe the fact that she is a speedster also makes her immune system and healing kind of quick as well dont worry i believe you'll be seeing a lot of her in episodes to come

Nope, pretty sure she's dead, much like the parrot in that one sketch.

There's a simple reason why she can't be alive: If she suddenly popped up again, then half the last episode would be rendered ridiculous. There were several scenes dedicated to giving Daphne a "storybook ending". Unwritten law of TV: when a character gets a sendoff that has 50% of fans bawling their eyes out in front of the TV screen, then they're dead. Dead dead.
Unless you're Bobby Ewing.

Yeah, you just can't bring back a character again on a show bashed for doing this. I agree that she was a great character, and I imagined her being main cast during season four

Agreed. When you give a character the kind of farewell scene we got with Daphne, you don't turn around and call, "PSYCH!"

I don't think that they shouldn't bring her back but i mean if they don't, it's fair enough. I just don't see Matt with anyone else. I don't think they should have made her die though. She was a main character up until this season. What was the point of the Spirit Walk Matt took, if she just dies here?

Plot device, dramatic turning point for Matt, plot hole, pick your poison.
IIRC, she wasn't a main character -- she was central to Matt's plot, but that was about it.

Umm...the one that showed Matt a future where Pinehearst rose to power?
Only...that future's now null and void since, you know, Pinehearst is destroyed.
Same as 5YG. Niki was alive and well in that future. Then she died in S2.
The point of the spirit walk was to show Matt what would happen if things were left unaltered. Unfortunately, by preventing Pinehearst from rising to power, the course was set for Daphne's death.

But it depends. She could have been a main character if the director (whose name i've forgotten at this point) would've given her a chance!

Wait, couldn't Hiro just go back in time though! Prevent Daphne from ever getting shot! I mean, we now know that "baby Matt Parkman" or "Toddler Touch and Go" (lol) can make Hiro have powers again so..
As Hiro said "Now to save Big Matt Parkman" Ando and Hiro could go and find Matt, see his misory, go save Daphne, and make the world happy again! YAY!! And that is why I LOVE Hiro!!!

But we don't know if Hiro can go back in time right now, as far as we know the only power he has (thanks to baby Matt) is stopping time. So, no, Hiro can't save Daphne (not in my opinion, btw).
And I'm in a way quite glad he won't. It would diminish all the significance of the scene of her farewell with Matt.

This would be great, except no more time travel. Unless Ando's ability can make it so that Hiro can time travel or something. But I doubt it.

Arggg... I really liked Daphne. I don't get why they always kill the women lately (Elle,Daphne, Nikki, Tracey).
I guess they only had the actor on contract so long.
But, still does this show have to always kill people

i totally agree with you. i mean come on, we know that peter, sylar, nathan and soo oon are the main characters and all but hey what about just fake die one of the characters so we can cry a little and then much later bring them back and make us happy or something? instead of its the girls the whole time.
and for real i think its whats her name "Peters mom" cant remember embarrassing but it hink she's next :s

Daphne's death was one of my only real beefs with Season 3. The character had such great potential but she became caught up in a "We're meant to be together/No we're not" dialogue loop with Matt that became a bit stale.
She was great on her own (and even with Matt in most cases) but the love story plot just didn't really seem right for her.
It almost felt like they killed her off simply as an excuse to stop writing Matt trying to woo her.
The one thing I can give about this is that her death did make for some fantastic followup scenes.
