Did anyone else notice Angela smiling when Sylar as Nathan was on the TV at the Diner? What is that about? I hope she had a dream that her boys take out Sylar and save the world. What else could it be?

Epic battle with Peter and Sylar is much needed. Sylar has become too power and too cocky, he needs to be put back into place. Plus, this season is lacking in the ability usage area.

that's a possibility and makes a lot of sense. Also it would be kind of unexpected since they're trying to make us think Nathan's the one who's gonna die already, anybody else would be a twist.
As for an epic battle, it's just gonna be an interesting meet and greet when Nathan finally gets back to Washington. He and Sylar have never officially met in real life ...

it's sick to even think this.. but after seeing how warm she was with sylar last volume, maybe she's just pulling a fast one on her sons all over again? is there any possibility that she understands that sylar may be more fit as president than her own son? maybe she's seen what is to come, the 5YG future version 2.0, and just accepts it? i have angela-trust issues.

I, for one, would love an outcome where sylar tk's the perverbial bucket. He's almost at a point where he's reached ultimate power, and then he's gonna fall, hopefully breaking his neck and or getting his brain popped out just so he can stay down.

Well, it was a "knowing" type of smile, and given all the emphasis on her dreams they've had so far, I expect we were meant to notice that and wonder what's going through her mind, increasing our anticipation for next week's episode. It may be one of those things that's ultimately just a dead-end "Angela mystique" motif, like "You do realize you've opened Pandora's box" and "Mysterious whisper in Nathan's ear about the game changing," neither of which was ever explained.
Also, at least to some extent, she may have just appreciated the irony of having the real Nathan right there saying he was going to go back to Washington and make amends for his wrongs, and then that very moment seeing "Nathan" on TV doing just the opposite.

I think she was worried that her son was going to continue down his path of destruction and keep rounding up HEBs for the government and saw that speech in particular. She then knew it couldn't be her son since he was sitting at the same table as her. It could have also been she saw Nathan die in her last dream and it gave her a sense of relief that it may not have been him she saw in her dream. Remember her dreams don't always happen the way she sees them and are open to interpretation.

I hope not! But after the last "Behind the eclipse" said we were going to learn "a little" of what Angela whispered into Nathan's ear and, sorry, as much as I'm out looking for everything on the Petrellis, I didn't get anything, I fear it might be another Pandora's box issue.
Hey, I was fine with the socks being a mystery. It's nice that that's explained, but there are other things a lot more badly in need of being explained.

I assumed it was because she knew it would bring Nathan and Peter (plus Claire) together to take Sylar down. I kinda hope it's not that "she thought Nathan was going to die, then realized it can't be him. Otherwise I'm pretty sure, having previously thought Nathan was going to die, that she would have done something fairly obvious to prevent it.
Anyone think the end will be Peter with a gun, with two Nathans to choose to shot and kill...

actually, i remember that confrontation in "dual" more like this:
sylar asked if angela was his mother, then warned her that he would know if she was lying before she answered. then angela broke down and admitted to only manipulating sylar because she dreamt he would save the world. who is to say that she didn't have another dream proving that the sylar-as-nathan-as-president future was much brighter than the nathan-as-president future. like i said in my earlier post, i never really trust angela.
Emy
Apr 15 2009, 02:51 AM
Nope, Nuclearpunch. Angela admitted first that she wanted Gabriel to take her sons places, as they were disappointment. But Sylar recognised this as a lie. She clearly says:
"I wanted you to work for the Company. You had a skill that I needed." "Did you saw me as a hero?" "No. As a killer, a monster. You were flawed, weak, malleable, someone I could manipulate."
That's all. Nothing about Sylar saving the world.
As for Angela's smile... I can see two possibilities: she saw Nathan die, or she saw him do something terrible. In both cases seeing Sylar in Nathan's form could have been a great relief.

I just had a thought earlier this morning.
Everyone was sitting at the table talking about keeping knowledge about people with abilities a secret.
I started thinking that Angela smiled because she remembered that Sylar was working with Danko.
Sylar could easily kill Danko and then anyone else necessary to keep the secret safe.
Sylar likes to kill so let him kill to keep the secret safe.
Angela's life just got a lot easier. big smile.
