I just wanted to express my appreciation for the young actors who played Angela and Charles in 1961. In what has been a very disappointing season this espisode was the high point. A+ job on Charles voice by the young man. Very good work.

I was impressed with the actress who played young Angela. She really had Angela's mannerisms down, especially in scenes where she had to put on her "brave face." Excellent job.

I found the young actors/actresses very good too.

They did all a very good job and represented their characters very well!

I was a bit less than happy with Linderman's, seemed like he was sneering all the time and trying too hard to imitate Linderman's character mannerisms. Not a bad job on the actual acting, though, and the others were all great.

^ I agree Linderman seemed off, everyone else nailed it...
I mean seriously did anyone have a hard time believing "Bobby" was a dork who couldn't talk to girls as a kid?
Even when he ran "The Company" you could tell the whole thing was on a decline and that he was pretty much a last resort to be in charge...
Anyway, loved the kid actors, they were awesome...

Linderman's character was the only one who didn't seem to fit.He was just too sneery and I expected someone of a smaller stature.
Everyone else was fantastic.Young Charles had a deep voice and was an uncanny representation of the person we saw in season 1.Same goes for young Angela as well. The casting people did a very good job with this one.

Linderman was the weakest link, for sure. Besides the sneering, it was obvious that it was an American actor trying to do an English accent, despite the limited dialogue he had.

I noticed that too, with the accent.
But I disagree on Linderman as a whole. I loved how he played him. He's a teenager, and a teenager who wants to appear sophisticated acts exactly like that. Good for Linderman that he managed to actually become sophisticated in later life.

I too thought it was very well done by everyone. I just wish we had seen young versions of Founders' we hadn't already met instead of Bob & Linderman. Charles belonged to me, since he and Angela were "dear friends" and the writers' needed this opp to show his ability.

I noticed that, too. I was like, "Man, she must have studied Angela all the way from season 1 to season 3." I thought she was incredible.

The commentary said that Cristine sat in on rehearsals, was on the set as much as she could, talked a lot with the actress and the actress did watch all the footage of Angela from the past seasons.

Kid Linderman was trying to do a British accent?
I thought he was trying to play a swede or something..

I liked the kiddle actors, other than Little Linderman. He just didn't seem very authentic. I loved Little Angela and Little Charles best, especially when they had their little flirtation-- it was too adorable!
