I'm sure they have completely forgotten but there was a reference in an older episode where Adam talked about a tsunami heading for Miami that was turned into a snowstorm.

Sounds alot like Alice's power but obviously she couldn't have been the one involved.

too many unanswered questions

For all of their powers why is their world just as screwed up as ours? sliced.gif

At a guess...because they're still human.

So you're suggesting the writers of the show don't have special powers? ohmy.gif

This isn't fictional writing peoples, it's history being told!

I always saw the "Snowstorm in Miami" headline as simply a vehicle for Bob to make it clear to Nathan how dangerous abilities could be and that the Company was doing the right thing.

Okay, not always. Only after I had someone explain it to me. The first six times, i had absolutely no clue what Bob was talking about. wink.gif

i dont remember anything about this...could someone explain..
Synch
It was in Out Of Time. Bob showed a headline to, I think, Matt and Nathan about a light Miami snowstorm and said the headline would've been about a tsunamai if it hadn't been for the Company. (It was when he was trying to say how dangerous Adam was.)

It actually makes me wonder if Alice has actually been at Coyote Sands for the past 50 years...

In the Evsdropper series of graphic novels (specifically, the graphic novel "Faces, Part 2"), a character is mentioned - a Croatian with the ability of weather manipulation.

He/she's a few down the list. That could be the explanation

The Tsunami may have been averted by by a combination of abilities.

Speculation andoface3.gif -Paulette Hawkins Augmented Yando's Ears until they grew as big as a Rocs wings and then Yando Flapped his ears so fast that the ocean froze. Santaw00t.gif

Another possibility- A power Augmenter(Paulette?),A Cryokinetic, A Microwave Emitter and a Telekinetic walk into a Bar, No, Wait, That happens afterwards.

The Augmenter Amplifies the Telekinetic, Allowing the Telekinetic to effectively Fly/Levitate the whole group far out to Sea(They might have used a boat to get closer). Once there the Telekinetic simply needs to hold them in place.

Once there, The Augmenter amplifies the Microwave Emitter, Who then vaporizes Millions of gallons of sea water while the Cryokinetic cools the air surrounding the group in order to prevent them from being steamed like crabs.

After a large volume of Sea water has been vaporized, Breaking the force of the tsunami, The Augmenter then amplifies the Cryokinetic who proceeds to Cool the superheated Air/Water/Steam for miles around.

Afterward, All four go to the Bar on the Beach and get real relaxed; Nine months later, Baby D.L. is born. I'll bet' Ya he was a cute Lil' Tyke.

It didn't have to be someone with Alice's ability. It could have been someone with Tracy's. Tsunami comes roaring towards Miami, someone turns it into snow (just like Sylar made it snow in "The Hard Part"). Problem solved. Nothing to see here. thumbsup.gif
Synch
Problem: The amount of water that would come inland from a tsunamai would not be turned into a light snowstorm by someone like Tracy. If that was involved, it would've been a heavy blizzard.

Depends how close to shore they were, but you're most likely right now that I give it more than half a second worth of thought lol.

Just a side note, I thought Tsunamis were caused by earthquakes? tongue.gif

She said that she only went out for food and supplies so that she could sustain herself. I doubt she would travel all the Florida from Arizona for that type of stuff.

Not to mention if the Company was involved, like Riddler said, then Angela would know that her sister was alive.

Methinks it was a different weather manip.
Synch
Why?

We have no evidence she knew Peter was.
Zensu14
What are you asking? lol
Synch
I'm asking why Angela would have know Alice was alive if the Company decided to use her since we've seen at least 1 instance where all indications are she had no clue what the Company was doing- when Peter was alive, but everything indicated she thought he was dead.
Zensu14
Because, we know that the Company was split up in the present, thus Angela not knowing. If the Company used Alice in that instance back whenever that happened (which I think was in the 70s) then the Company wasn't as split up as was then.

Thus my statement on why Angela would've known Alice was alive and why I think it was someone else.

Perhaps just someone with (a lot more) control over their powers than Tracy?
