why did Chandra whip out that huge damn syringe after he interviewed each person?

Did he shoot up Angela? We never know for sure.

Also, how come if Charles had the ability to make people do whatever he wants why would they have to wait for the guards to change when he could have just walked up to them and tell them that the guards wouldn't mind letting them pass and then forget they'd seen them.

And then later Angela makes the phone call when Charles could have been alot more influential don't you think?

he could probably have talked all the townspeople to march on the relocation center if he'd wanted.

For that matter why did he not use his power to make alot of positive changes like make Pres. Kennedy pull out of Viet Nam or push thru Desegregation.

I really think It's the same as why matt doesn't do some things. It all kind of comes down to an ethical line. Do you make everyone your drone, and get everything you want. I mean really, what's the fun in that.

And by sending people back to take that camp over or what not, he probably had a lot of doubts inside, and he was probably scared. I'm Sure that same what if was weighing on his shoulders for years.

It's too many people to convince I think. And yeah it may be on his shoulders, I hope we see more of him in the future.

I wouldn't assume he can do whatever he does over the phone. I'd have assumed it takes eye contact.

Take a good, long look at all the (alas, brief) scenes in which we saw Charles Deveaux in season one. He was a person who accepted life for what it was, and always from a very humanistic and positive viewpoint.

And also - how do we know that it wasn't Charles Deveaux who pushed through Desegregation? It happened soon enough after that. Maybe he had a little chat with Martin Luther King the same year, or the next? Or maybe King had a similar power? wink.gif

I have no idea and was wondering that also.
It was clear liquid. Could have been water but then why do it.
Maybe Mohinder's papers will have the answer.

Neither Angela nor Alice were happy about the idea of getting a shot from a honker syringe.

I figured it would be adrenaline, it is known to activate a slumbering ability before or to enhance it's effect making it uncontrolable.

It may have been a suppressant for the abilities.

Why would he give them adrenaline if it could potentially activate a disasterous ability?

Maybe it's the same stuff Mohinder always seemed to want to inject specials with in Season 1 and 2.

It definitely makes things look more official and legit if you're poking the person with a fancy syringe. They don't let just anyone inject specials, you know.
Merman
Are those syringes the types that inject stuff, or the ones that draw blood? He could be drawing blood from the specials to collect their DNA samples...
Zensu14
I think the syringes already had some type of liquid in them, or it seemed that way to me.
dcg
Syringes had a clear liquid inside to be injected in.
