(NOTE: I appear to be able to see the episode before you guys, thanks to me living in Canada! This contains a lot of spoiler from the episode, so don't read it until you saw it yourself!)
Really nice episode indeed! Mostly Sylar-ic, which bunch of Hiro/Ando along the way, and a little bit of Matt!
Oh, and Micah! Sylar and Micah meeting, and Sylar actually helping Micah escape, that was unexpected, yet totally understandable! And they give a lot of explanations about Sylar's family issues that appeared during Volume 3! So good point here!
Micah's actor really good at pulling out the Sylar-smile! lol
One thing I really loved about this episode is at it appeared to be connecting at last! One thing I didn't loved about this Volume: All the episodes were overally great, but they seemed to lack some connection between each others. Now, with the return of Micah as Rebel and Sylar's family issues, and Sylar openly admitting using the ''memory object'' power, things seems to connect a little more. And Hiro's really taking actions into his hands again! 'missed that!
The only thing I didn't liked, is that Matt seems to forgot about Daphne and go back in Janice's arms too quickly, even with baby-Matt Parkman in the picture! But hey, a comeback from an actress of season 1 is still good!
Two questions arise from today's episode: WTF's happening to Hiro (and can Ando's power save him? I guess it can), and how did Sylar survived this famous attack on him!

What took them so long to get the writing this good finally?
One question though. I remember Micah making a BROKEN phone work back in Season One so why should the lack of electricity stop him?

He made a phone do what it was intended to do. All he did was bypass the need to pay for it.

Another superb episode it was great. This episode might jump into my top 5 favorite all-time Heroes episodes.
Sylar was outstanding in his identity crisis and bringing back Virginia Gray was a great piece.
Hopefully, they explain why Sylar didn't die after getting stabbed in the back of the head and that may also help explain why he didn't die at the end of Vol. 3. My only guess is that he's been able to take his regen to a level Claire has never dreamed of.

And I don't care what people say, but Heroes wouldn't be what it is without Sylar in it.

Once again this season they tossed us a nearly perfect episode in my opinion. I loved the ode to Hitchcock's Psycho. What great performances from Quinto and Greene. I thought Noah Gray-Cabey's acting was just outstanding too. Some parts seemed a little slow, but the meat overweighs the bun by a longshot.

It was a good episode for sure, Sylar seems to be becoming overwhelmed by his own powers and even cracking up a bit because of it. But I liked that he let Micah go and even helped him out, it would have been too sad after how he lost both of his parents. A lot of characters got captured too, or at least it seemed like HRG, Claire and Angela were about to be. And even Danko is in big trouble now, so it leaves a lot to look forward to for the season finale.
Two thumbs up!

I can barely describe the awesomeness of this episode..! To see Micah not only not run away from Sylar, but attempt to connect with him and bring him back to the side of the Heroes..!? I've missed him and his relentless, heroic optimism, which might dwarf even Hiro's, sooo much! That Sylar cried and let him go instead of killing him was just the best. Hiro and Ando FINALLY stop bickering and become a true team...! Matt mends a bridge with his ex AND decides to fight Building 26..! Lastly, we FINALLY get to see Nathan and Sylar in a scene..! This episode, focusing on Sylar, had true potential to be dull, repetitive and repetitive (get it?), and instead was so fresh and insightful and dramatic it was truly wicked-good! Can't wait for next week!

Fantastic episode. Loved how we knew what the end product was (turning into Nathan) and the way it all led up to it. Awesome seeing Virgina Gray again and the Norman Bates/Mother twist to his crisis. And man, what an ending! I've never really liked Danko (but then I'm not supposed to), but he's really got it coming now.
Also, was Angela asleep in the back of the car again when they were driving after Nathan and Peter? Can't wait to see what she learns through her dream.

Besides Matt Parkman, everything about this episode restored my faith in the series. The absolute best part of the episode was Sylar "talking" to his mother.
I also loved the Nathan/Sylar confrontation. I believe this is the first time in 3 seasons that the 2 characters have actually met, and it did not disappoint. If I could pick anyone to "oppose" Nathan and what he tried to do at the beginning of the volume, Sylar's the guy to do it.

I agree that Danko is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I thought I saw Angela with her eyes closed in the backseat too. I asumed she was asleep and that is a good thing. (Angela is FANTASTIC, she can defeat just about anybody in her sleep... hehehe)

I loved tonight's episode. We got to see some grat action and what can possibly happen next week between Sylar and both Nathan and Peter. Hiro and Ando are really coming along and are preparing for the final assault on building 26. Matt will join up with them as well as everyone else. The last stand of the rebellion will be next week and this will include two great fights with Sylar and Nathan and Sylar and Peter. I can't wait. Season 4 will have many interesting plots that I'm looking forward too.

I can't believe I enjoyed a Sylar-centric ep so much. I particularly enjoyed how they shot the scenes with Sylar "talking" to his mother. A very cool way to work through his inner demons. Well, at least some of them :-) Ellen Greene was fantastic of course. I am amazed at how optimisitic Micah has remained. The kid has lost so much but he still fights. Very admirable. Really liked how he appealed to the sliver of humanity left somewhere deep within Sylar. It's nice to have someone really like their powers and want to do good. This has been a dark volume and the glimmar of hope is refreshing. Matt and Janice reconnecting is cool but I hope they dont shove him into romance so soon after Daphne.
Overall: 9.0/10

I adored mostly everything about this episode. Zack's acting was some of the best I have ever seen him pull off. Truly superb only to be mirrored by Virginia's. Her eyes and the way she(he) looked at him(or himself) was enough to tell the entire tale. It was him looking at himself how he thought she would look at him. Seriously confusing to explain but so great to see.
I also really liked Micah in this episode. He talked to Sylar like he talked to his mom wanted her to be a hero. Nearly brought a tear to my eye when he brought her up. Poor Micah.

I think it is awesome he is the eternal optimist.
I give it a 9/10. Only thing I didn't like was Matt.

This was a really good episode, despite the fact that Sylar isn't my favorite character. I loved the Acting, the writing was superb, and the fact that Sylar is going a bit crazy is a nice touch (it's about time if ya ask me) I also like that he didn't kill Micah, though that was more to do with Micah's wits than any kind of redeeming quality that Sylar possesses, though that can, and I'm sure will, be argued. Ellen Green was great to see again, and I really like that Janice and Matt are back together. I loved their relationship back in season one, and I hope that they can eventually get back to that level in volume five. And finally, it was nice to see Ando and Hiro have a serious arc... I mean being funny is nice and all, but to watch them have a goal and attempt to execute it in an adult fashion was nice to see. I also like the drama between the two and how it came to a climax and resolution.
It was also nice seeing Tracy in the recap

9/10 for me and a nice addition to my top 5

Hopefully, they explain why Sylar didn't die after getting stabbed in the back of the head and that may also help explain why he didn't die at the end of Vol. 3.
He didn't die at the end of Vol. 3 because the fire melted the glass shard in the back of his head. Noah said that a couple episodes ago.

Totally agree. Sylar is by far the best and most interesting character of the series. Quinto is so good as that character. Loved the episode. The show has really come back well the last 5 episodes. Villains had so much potential and then stumbled and petered out. Fugitives has been really picked it up lately and can't wait to see how it ends next week.

I like how they are making Sylar still sympathetic but I think he is becoming more and more unstable. The way he called his own father "pathetic" really showed how far he has gone down the darker path. I really hope Hiro is going to be fine! Matt and his family will get out of there problem somehow. Peter and Nathan have a big fight on there hands with Sylar and a renegade Danko.

Y'know, this one was pretty good. More comic bickering between Hiro and Ando (and by comic, I mean painfully shallow; I wonder if the brain geniuses who write their bits have ever heard the phrase, "Actions speak louder than words"), but the rest of the episode was darn entertaining. I usually don't like Sylar angst, because it inevitably goes back to feelings of abandonment or whatever, but keeping it current helped this time around - the strength of the writing (for the most part) and the twist with his shapeshifting into Virginia to converse with himself drew his unresolved guilt about his mother's murder into a comfortably watchable zone for me.
Solid ep.

One of the best episodes the show has ever produced.
The strength of the writing is evident when once again people can actually feel sorry for Sylar. This episode finally gave an incredible insight into what's been going on inside Sylar's head ever since season 1.His small redemptive arc was handled excellently, the way it should have been handled in volume 3.
Hiro and Ando were funny, but it was a pat in a serious storyline, unlike the silliness the writers sometime try to force upon the viewers.
It was great to see Matt and Janice back together.I'm interested to see where this goes, although I hope the writers don't make Daphne obsolete in the process.
While this episode didn't do much to move the plot forwrd,it did exactly what it was meant to do,by establishing a firm stage for the season finale.
This episode will no doubt make it into my top 5 episode list.
Rating-9.6/10.

I would say it was a decent average episode. The Matt-Janice relationship is a bit awkward and weird due to the fact Daphne's corpse is still so fresh on the side of the highway, and Sylar-Rebel conversation seemed a bit off to me. The whole "Sylar Fighting his Inner Demons" thing is just a bit old now. I admit it's being done slightly better than it was in Villians, but I am so completely done with it at this point, I just get irritated. Nathan flying off like that was rather stupid too, come on, what kind of idiot would knowingly rush off to fight sylar? It makes no rational sense. All in all, the nonsense is outweighed by the fun of the episode - but it really wasn't special. I give it 5 out of 10.

I agree with pretty much everyone here. Definitely will be one of my tops fave episodes of all time. I am by no means a Sylar fangirl, but seriously ZQ ROCKED it last night. I LOVE great writing, great acting, and great storytelling. These last few weeks are EXACTLY what I was hoping S2 would be. I am SO thrilled with where they are going and so excited the Heroes I feel in love with is back and better than ever.

MAJOR PROPS: Micah encountering, attempting to manipulate, and surviving Sylar. Pure awesomeness. General acting from everyone involved. Really moving in places.
GOOD PROPS: The flow and editing of the episode and how it all led back up to the broadcast. Sylar's identity crisis. Hiro being able to take Ando into frozen time, however, this will turn into a major negative if it does turn out that they are going to give him yet ANOTHER de-powering session...

I was all upset over them taking the pain factor away from the shapeshifting, but the identity crisis thing is even better

. I especially like the way he was doing rapid shape-shifting between being himself and his mother. That boy bes crazy ^^;;; !
I love Hiro, but he gets jealous too easily if he doesn't have all the limelight. I wish he would get over that, but it seems to just be part of his personality, so I'm not sure that he will. I think it's funny how Ando wants a superhero name. Only dorks have superhero names.
Micah should've had more to do! But I understand why Sylar sent him off-- Micah's a good kid, and he didn't wanna hurt him. Maybe he'll try to get Sylar some help in some way, like from a distance or whatever.
I'm not sure it'll work out even if Matt does get back with his wife, since it seems like it's the kid he's in love with, not her. Staying together for the kid is usually a very bad idea.
I notice Baby Matt never cries when there are scary people with guns around. I would cry if scary people with guns were around! Why doesn't he?
