I wasn't such a fan of it myself. Not normally a sensitive type, but I'm not that comfortable with how it was done myself.

it was clever, definately a nice change instead of seeing the same old comic book style handwriting for the episode title.

O yaaa I was kinda skeptical on that! But it was a lot more intresting then lol

I didn't like it. I felt like Sylar cutting his arm was more in the purpose of showing the title in a cool manner than to show how badly Sylar had become.. And it made it feel forced.

Careful there. You're going to get his cult members after you. They feed on the negative posts about Sylar.

I liked it. Started the "Sylar's gone nucking futs" ball rolling for the episode.
Not to mention, it's a nice change. Like the Symbol split "villains" title.

I thought it was really cool also. I didn't expect it at all. Poor Sylar is getting mentally messed (up even more than usual).

It was symbolic, intense, and totally the point. Best title opening ever.

No. Sylar's fans, and although I've never been one I've always liked the character, react to ridiculously stupid negative comments about the character.

LOL Yeah yeah. You are the expert of the forums.
Back on topic, the title opening was very cool. I knew what he was typing before they showed it, but I didn't expect it to be the title shot for the episode. Some were bothered, some weren't, some thought it was greater than sliced bread. I happen to fall into that category.

I thought it was awesome. It was just so messed up. I thought he was going to leave it (not regen) as a badge of defiance. But yeah, definitely set the tone for the episode and his identity crisis.

That's totally what I thought when I've seen that scene. I too, was hoping for a scar that would remind him of his identity

BTW, I quite liked this opening. It was pretty cool to see something different and I didn't thought it was very gross. Come on, we've seen much worse pictures in this show! Scalped people and such...

I liked it, but I'd have liked it more if they'd done the title card later in the show when they have that in blood on the wall, a little late for a card, but it'd have been cooler to me at least.

I was thinking since Sylar took some guy's power where he can photo copy with his mind he would duplicate the scar/tattoo on his arm to cover his whole body in with "I AM SYLAR" over and over...

I really liked the title integration this week. Refreshing to break away from the norm every so often. Although when "I AM SYLAR" popped up again in the first act, I thought it would be hilarious if they had it appear every act, with the "Chapter 11" over it EVERY TIME.

While it would have been a whole different feel if the wound hadn't healed and Sylar had been left with a permanent scar, I think the way it was done gave an even better effect: Sylar's desperate bid to create a link to who he really is was lost to him because of who he is. It's because he took Claire's power that he was unable to etch a reminder into his skin. Poetic, really. Besides, it gave him an excuse to remind everyone with a few pints of someone else's blood later in the episode.
(Though another cool angle would be if he had been so bent on keeping the reminder that he expended some of his telekinetic power on permanently holding the cuts open, making him far less powerful...)

I definitely fall into the "creepy" but "cool" category. I do have mixed feelings about it since I've known several people who cut.. but I think it was also appropriate given his state of mind. It was creepy and out there, but it set the tone for his mental state as well..

I really liked it, They should do this for character surrounded episodes. Like in the Cold Snap Titles, they had Tracy breathe out and Cold Snap was there. Love to see more like these...
