Full Version: Don't Mess with the DSC
9th Wonders Boards > Talk About Heroes > Heroes, Cast, and Crew in the Media > Milo Ventimiglia

If you are following the Divide Pictures Twitter, you will have heard the big bust on a Milo Ventimiglia impersonator that just happened: http://twitter.com/dividepictures/status/1651210718

This is intolerable. And while they are bringing legal actions against the impersonator, what about those others who come out of the woodwork? For that reason, the DSC is stepping up and is making a video. Details are here: http://gumbyfun.tumblr.com/post/101955036/...ss-with-the-dsc. If you DSC, please take part. If you don't know about the DSC yet, check us out: www.myspace.com/dividesocialclub

I can't translate twitter's layout. God, I hate microblogging sites.

What happened?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't make head nor tail of Twitter. Nothing but hate for that system.

From what I can cobble together, someone was impersonating Milo and pretending to have a Twitter page as him and they got caught. Am I even close to warm?

I think that might be the case, but I can't decipher it.

Yes. Multiple people have created fake Milo accounts. Many of them have been shut down.

I don't know, as long as they're not making the celebrity look bad, I don't think fake twitter accounts are a bad thing. All publicity is good publicity and all that.

Unless the publicity is defamatory, and that creates a whole host of other bad issues.

Dino personally told me when he stepped in: there was some woman pretending to be Milo who said he had cancer and was getting people's money.

It gets bad when the fake twitterer is saying he or she is doing things that the real person isn't doing and has no involvement in. Impersonation is breaking the law. I'm glad that there is a validation service on Twitter now.
