The scene from The Second Coming that shows Ando betraying Hiro and supposedly killing him, could that future still be on the horizon and how?
To quote the dialogue:
Ando: Hiro. Give me back the formula.
Hiro: No. You betrayed me.
Ando: You are wrong.
Now we know that the formula has been destroyed, but could this betrayal exist under different circumstances? We have seen repeatability in Heroes that certain events have occurred in different futures even though different events have occurred before that. For example, Peter has had a scar on his face in the future where the "bomb" explodes in New York but is also appears in the future where the "bomb" does not explode but the formula is released. Are there some events that cannot be changed and that will definitely occur and could Ando betraying Hiro be one of these events?
Also there is evidence that Hiro and Ando both believe that this future is on the horizon as Daphne states in Trust and Blood that Hiro can't be dead since Ando kills him in the future.
Secondly, how could it happen? There has been rising tension between the two and although it could be seen as settled now, Hiro has betrayed Ando many times in the past. For example, in I Am Sylar where Hiro ignores Ando and decides to use him as bait.
