Great foundation for a new season! I love how they've woven the new characters in with the regulars!

I loved it! Tonight's season premiere was awesome. It flowed in a normal way and the characters all know what they have to do. The action was great and it seems that Peter is getting his old abilities back. Hiro now seems to know what he must do and this will lead him to great things to come. Peter is feeling this way too and he's enjoying his career of saving lives. I really liked how he was able to save everyone tonight. Claire is awesome in college and I'm sure that well find out the murderer at some point. Everyone is getting back into it and that season 1 feel is back. I can't wait till next week smile.gif

I finally really feel like Heroes is back! Tonight's episode really set the mood for a great comeback. It was very, very well written. I'm more excited about Heroes than I have been in over a year!

I thought it was great!! Sure i don't LOVE adding new characters but at least these ones aren't pointless. Loved seeing Nathan/ Sylar.. and or course Sylar! lol

I'm a total Claire fan so I was really pysched to see what all is going on with her this episode. Peter rocks and I wouldn't change him for the world. Noah is cool. I totally loved Sylar/Nathan.

Can't wait for next Monday! thumbsup.gif

Have to agree with this. This is going to become a beaten dead horse before too long, but it definitely had that S1 feel to it, which is definitely a good thing.

The show is good again. A few focused characters instead of a bunch of faceless ones. Slower pace and new aspects of the characters are very interesting. And I love the new villains.
Ingtar
It felt like season one to me. Not only was the focus so much better, they introduced a mysterious element (the carnival) by showing us enough to get us thinking without trying to either hide too much or show too much.
wolfbro
I definitely agree with you, Ingatar. The mystery is what has been missing since S1. There has been suspense, but not the mystery and wonder of the unknown. I've liked what we've seen so far, very good stuff. thumbsup.gif

Yeah, and I think that this time they've completely refrained from adding new characters for their own sakes. No Alejandros and Mayas, just new characters that enter the lives of the ones we know. Nobody to replace the ones we know, but just new guys brushing with them. If any of them catches, they can still be more important later, but they're not shoved in your face so much. Like Daphne or Elle - they started out as part of an obstacle for the Heroes but then became characters (until they were killed off.)

And just to add my voice here too:

Heroes is back!

While there were, of course, the occasional inconsistencies (which I only really noticed after reading other's reviews and comments if I'm honest), one of the things I liked most was it felt so much more believable. Things like Noah making himself cereal for dinner, his and claire's interaction, the way angela reacts to sythan... it feels like what would happen. Yes, some of the characters have had some speedy personality transplants... but it doesn't even matter when this causes me like the characters even more. The mystery is back, the drama is back... just everything. Just... wow.
KromtheDwarf
yes mystery. and not the season 3 mystery of
"i wonder what that is?" commercial* "oh that's what" kinda crap.

the focus of the show should be people and character development and interaction.

the fun of the show is the wonder and the DISCUSSION.

On par with the best of the season 1 episodes.
