Looks like when Matt is in for a field day, now that Sylar is messing with his mind. Discuss!

I loved the exchange between Matt and imagined Sylar. Amusing as heck!

Sylar in that therapy meeting, when he goes "I WANT MY BODY BACK" XD XD

So funny. So good. I love how Matt is in mental turmoil now. Great dynamics going on. This is the sort of simple thing that made Heroes awesome once, long ago. Makes me happy.

Anyone else think that Matt will give Sylar his body back just to get rid of the visions?

I think I died of laughter during the scene where he's trying to get the drug dealer's name
... not at the stuff sylar was saying... i mean when he throws the chair at the wall and the guys like "ok! ok! The name's kepler!"
DoctorClaude
Oh yeah, Matt's storyline just got a whole lot more interesting really fast.

As for Sylar, this is likely the most exciting thing that has happened with him in a very long time.
BlastOff
Yeah, I love Sylar like this. He's ****** off and manipulative and not having mommy or daddy issues. Instead he's trapped in Matt's head and wants back into his own body. Very fun stuff.
DoctorClaude
Exactly. There's no self doubting anymore. He knows he's not a Petrelli, he's not turning into his mother, and he's not having an identity crisis. As he said at the group session...

"My name is Sylar. And I want my body back."
Leek
I know! Such a powerful, declarative, and long awaited statement! Glory be!
byerly724
anyone else guessing that when Matt entered Sylar's mind to erase his memories, sylar seperated mind and body to survive.

This is making to be very funny cause this is one power that sylar probably always wanted.

Anyone else think that when/if sylar comes back to his old self that he would want matts power after seeing it in action.

BTW Group therapy session was by far one of the best scenes in a while on heroes
LouisWu
yeah the group therapy session was hilarious. this is the first time since maybe season 1 that im moderately interested in matt's storyline. i wonder if sylar will try to use matt's baby against him somehow
Hawkdaddy
I love Sylar as a mental bully. He called Parkman fat andoface3.gif
Merman
What a truly creepily awesome dynamic with Matt and Sylar now! Well played! Love it!

Am I the only one who thinks that the Sylar in Matt's head isn't real? I think he's a manifestation of Parkman's guilt and self-doubt, brought out by the stress of trying to go cold turkey off his power. I do think that it will drive Parkman to make a major mistake, e.g. bringing the real Sylar back, but I don't think that if Sylar is restored that he could / should remember tormenting Parkman.

my favorite scene between both episodes was the one during the drug rehab meeting. It was well written, directed, acted, everything. I especially love Sylar's face the first time Matt says, "Stop it!" XD

I also really liked the scene at the end when Matt uses his ability on Roy, and then he sees Sylar just standing there and the way he whispers, "Gotcha..." really got to me. That boy is so deliciously evil.

I think the scene in the interrogation room is the best acting i've ever seen Greg Grunberg do. I can't wait to see more of their scenes in the future, i'm really looking forward to it!

That is one possibility, but I'm more inclined to believe that Sylar is trapped inside of Matt's mind. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.

This is just a general stab in the dark here, but remember Sylar's car-to roof transition from last volume that had everyone whispering "astral projection"... could this be the writers confirming it? Sylar's personality, unable to live in his own body, projects himself to Matt? It was just the cutting-between of Sythan and Matt' haunting made me wonder if they were somehow linked...?

That was my exact thought while I was watching it!

But I don't think that's how they're going to explain it, seeing as they made it a point to have Sylar say that a piece of himself was left in Matt's mind when he did the "transfer".

I think this whole Sylar haunting Matt aspect brings an interesting new dynamic to the show. Sylar's sort of a devil over Matt's shoulder teasing and trying to manipulate him. There were a lot of really good lines throughout such as the "Hi. My name is Sylar and it's been six weeks since I've seen my body...". It was great seeing Matt go from trying to ignore Sylar and continue normally to yelling at him to leave him alone. I can totally imagine the frustration Matt is having. Matt's gonna have to find a way to clear his mind or things will only get worse. Will Matt give into Sylar's demands to give him his body back?
Trihan
I loved the bit in the interrogation room where he's like telling Matt to just pull the name out of the guy's head and saying that he'll help by taking a big chunk out of his skull. XD
Trujin
It wouldn't surprise me if Sylar got a grasp of Matt's powers in the erasing process (aka having intense empathy and got the power like he got Elle's power). However I'm still wondering where Sylar's mind went. Maybe he transported his mind/memory into Matt's?

Put me down in the "not sure" category. This "Sylar" doesn't know, say, or do anything that Matt doesn't know about: the suspicion about the water guy, the insecurity about his weight, having baby Matty still asleep in his crib after supposedly carrying him around the room. (The same sort of thing happened when Linderman re-appeared after DL clearly killed him.) We can think it's the real Sylar who got inside Matt's head during the brainwashing, but then what's that watch-obsessed, unused-to-sushi psyche that's trying to emerge in the new Nathan? Matt sees Sylar as the embodiment of his own guilt, and Matt thinks he's got a lot to be guilty about: the fear of turning into his father, losing Daphne, his role in the brainwashing.
CurtisHinson
It's hard to say where the story will go from here but I seem to think that Sylar is indeed inside Matt's head leaving Nathan in Sylar's body and Sylar unable to possess that body again. I think it'd be interesting to see Sylar get another body thus leaving a semi-Nathan psyche inside of Sylar's old body.
Naufragus
Lets assume that Sylar is really inside Matts head instead of just his psyche being surpressed in his own body. Wouldnt Sylar try and steal Matts body. He would at elast fight for dominance,
Synch
I don't think he's that strong yet. Give it a little while. But I do think it'll happen eventually.
LowerTheBar
Here's my theory, fwiw. Sylar tooks Matt's ability by empathy in the Synathan melding process. What I think Sylar is doing is trapping Matt inside a nightmare like we saw Maury do in season 2. But I think Sylar gaining telepathy was imperfect, since it was a survival instinct reaction. That combined with the fact that Nathan's personality is dominant means that Sylar doesn't have full control over it. So he can only sort of get into Matt's head, not fully trap him, and he can only do it when Nathan's persona is weak. Remember that when Sylar was taunting Matt with baby Matt, they kept cutting back to Nathan in his office having some sort of anxiety attack.
