OMG ROXY!!

And yeah, that makes sense. Something I thought about also, just didn't know if it was relevant in any way.

Guess it is. biggrin.gif

Ditto that!

I don't really care why you posted, or what, I'm just glad you did!

So, yeah, back to the topic. Whatever it was. rolleyes.gif

Q about that theory...

did the Prof post test results that night... after/during the mixer (party)? not that it's impossible... would just seem weird that results would be posted much later in the evening (that, and Annie seemed to be pretty confident with the Equation presented... saying, "I know, it's so easy.")

if you go back and re-watch the episode... as Claire is walking towards the windows, there is definitely not a suicide note on Annie's pillow.

but then again, who knows smile.gif

In the same line of idea, what if she passed but, the 36th best one, who didn't passed, killed her and camoufled it as a suicide so that he/she could be 35th? That's also a possibility, right? rolleyes.gif
ravn0s
just rewatched it and theres no suicide note on the bed when claire walks in.
4thDimension
I just hope it's not a cheap way to get Claire's abilities noticed right away.

There was definitely no suicide note when Claire first came into the room, so I hope that means there is some other reason to unfold in the episodes to come.

ROXY! Class of '06 returnee! ohmy.gif Welcome back!

On topic,
Im thinking Gretchen killed Annie in pursuit of Sam Sullivan's orders.

And for good measure, if ya like, Gretchen was the 36th on that algebra test.

Raekon
I think that either Gretchen did it on Samuels orders OR she were distracting claire long enough for someone else to do it. Except if they are trying to confuse us a bit so we can speculate and think that Gretchen was involved while she is not cause actually the way she was excited to investigate and find out who it was with claire looked fishy aswell and rather a note for us that she probably isn't involved. tongue.gif

Anyway, a note definately wasn't there so Annie didn't do it herself for sure.
TenzoMonk
don't forget that claire's "fall test" showed (her anyways), that it appeared that Annie did kill herself (well, she just "fell" ... whose to say Annie didn't JUMP out the window, either).

however, who is to say (maybe even Gretchen) someone with Telepathy didn't make Annie jump? (or even someone with TK and "floated" her to that spot, then dropped her)

for all we know... as soon as Annie handed Gretchen the guitar... Gretchen could have "said" to her, "now you are going to go back to your room and walk out your window"

oh well. again... just my .02
Shizniddle Snap
No note in the pan=something fishy. it will prob play out in the next few episodes.
Gretchen is definitely creepy and a spaz, but I'm not sure if she had anything to do with it.
Sidious
I don't know whether it's just me, but I think I can see a note on the bed.

Here''s a screenshot and I've stuck a circle around it.

Definetly looks like something's there.

here's another couple shots... i watched that scene a few times and noticed that too... but it couldn't tell.

problem is... the detective, when talking to Claire, specifically says the note was on her pillow. claire also stated that she specifically checked the pillow, and saw nothing. for as "dim" as claire has been in the past... i just can't see her over-looking the suicide note, if it was there.

oh well... who knows smile.gif

LOL did she use crayons to color in her suicide note? XD

Two things here. A, maybe the whole body positioning is irrelevant. I mean I really don't think it can be as simple as what position she fell in. Perhaps Anni was spinning around when she fell, or flailing, or what ever. All of which would have messed with her final positioning.

B. Gretchen could have just moved the body, since she seemed to know so much about it. *shrug*
ColorMeToxic
The suicide note appeared to be either pinkish or white.

The thing on the pillowcase seems to be a screen print, imo.

Maybe hearing things here but i believe there was an unique sound effect during the interaction at the party between gretchen and annie i think right after she got kicked off guitar hero. And i think the same sound effect was heard when the detective was questioning claire. can someone check it out.

I just watched both scenes and didn't hear any sound effect. During the interrogation you can hear part of the theme in the background. Maybe that's what you heard.

I agree. There's something undeniably creepy about Gretchen.

Perhaps her power is to influence emotions, to increase them to extremity? She could use that ability to cause Annie extreme depression.

Perhaps she can possess bodies, but only for a very short time. She puts herself into Annie's body and jumps?

I can't believe the writers will (once again) repeat powers. I don't want to see Gretchen as a "persuader," or "puppet master." Give her some other subtle, unique power.

And yes, I believe Gretchen is a plant...much like Claire is, for the good side. invisible.gif
CurtisHinson
I don't know why it never occurred to me that Gretchen has an ability but I think it could make sense. It wouldn't bother me if she could persuade as long as it doesn't happen exactly like Eden did it.
heroesnut
i think you're right about the algebra test, and that annie's murder/suicide/accident is not going to be a long-term plot, only an explanation of how gretchen finds out about Claire's ability.

By the way...no wonder she killed herself. that problem is impossible. (Okay...I admit...I tried it. usually with matrices you get either a point solution or a line solution. you don't get either with that matrix. Although I think Claire should have at least tried the problem..before i started it, I was also like "okay, that's really easy, especially for a college class". I know Annie is a Lady, but she's probably right that Claire is only in this college because of her connections.)
