Full Version: So the Govt. doesn't care about specials anymore?

So do the writers think that we forget about previous seasons or what? Last I checked The President was with Nathan and Danko (Sp.) to capture all these supers. Now all of a sudden everything is cool like "naw just forget about it." I think that the writers ruin this show more and more each season. Another question does Peter still have the ability to get one power at a time or what?

Nathan went to talk to the president.

The new company is funded by the government.

Keep in mind 6 weeks have passed since last season's finale and this season's premiere. And we KNOW lots of stuff happened in that 6 weeks. There will most likely be an episode called "Six Weeks Ago" to explain all this.

I don't think the government has forgotten at all. Angela specifically told HRG to get the new program up and running, which says to me she's sensing the pressure from the suits.

Considering the first season's story lasted from October 1 to November 8, and that the gap between the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4 is 6 weeks long, we can tell that TONS of stuff can happen.

6 weeks is a long time in the Heroes world. To think that the President can't be persuaded within those 6 weeks to call off the gov. on Specials is pretty dumb, imho. So yeah, it isn't much a stretch to think that the gov will leave people alone after season 3 ended.

Phew - that would be nice, but that's the first time I ever considered this. The first time they did this, in season 2, there were such huge breaks int he storyline that they had to. Right now, I don't think this will happen. There are inconsistencies, but I wouldn't bet on getting any explanation. sad.gif

The specials situation was addressed in the last episode of last season - the government had agreed to fund and support the new Company, Sylathan said so. So I suppose that is as much information as we'll get.

ALASODIN, what makes you think we know the whole story already? The season JUST started!

I'm not saying that at all I hope I didn't give that impression. It just seems like several times in the shows existance they have either left out information or created a flashback (which is a huge cheat in my book) to try to fill some gaps. Part of my whole reason for this thread is that I'm frustrated in the direction the show has taken, not to mention the constant flip-flopping of characters and thier agendas/motives. But I'm a sucker for the show, so I'm here to the bitter end!

How is using a flashback considered a cheat?
