I was surprised too! I was worried that they already showed her or something and I was too distracted when doing my how to notice.

Lydia must have had her sometime when she was really young too (teenager?) because she doesn't look that old.

Well from last weeks GN we know that when she was a teenager she joined up with The Family. So either she had the kid then, or sometime during her stay there.

Though I can't see the brothers letting her give away a baby...

Emma's too old. In the iStory/webisode about Lydia, she states that she had her daughter before she joined the carnival.

Can someone get a good screen capture of the tattoo? Maybe that could help.

It was in the scene where Edgar gives Lydia something that was wrapped up. She unwraps it and there was a Sprint Phone (love the product placement! ) Edgar said to Lydia that they weren't supposed to have phones. Lydia replied to Edgar that she had a daughter that was in trouble.

I just watched the scene before that iStory though.

If you saw the scene in the iStory, then you saw the whole scene being talked about here. What they aired was technically a commercial for the iStory.

Though you have to admit, the placement of the commercial was rather seamless.

It's Claire! Claire is her daughter! Oh wait, shoot, they already solved that mystery. lol

I think it's not a coincidence that both actresses have similarities and very long hair aswell.
I also were suspecting a connection between Lydia and Gretchen aswell.

she doesnt appear to be that old so i dont think its gretchen. i think her daughter is going to be much younger, like molly's age.

I believe the scene was actually just a commercial, to advertise a series of Heroes shorts on Sprint phones...so some people, depending on where and how they were watching the show, might have missed out. It wasn't part of the actual episode.

I guess it could be gretchen... but... I don't know... feels a little too perfect. I think it's going to be a character we've not seen yet.

She is definately at least mid 30 so it wouldn't be too farfetched if she got a child when she was very young.

..if Lydia is about 34 and had the baby at 16 (which she gave to her sister?to raise) she'd be a college freshman now - so - either Annie or Gretchen I'd think.

in the last GN it showed lydia without a kid.. and that was 14 years ago. so there's no way her kid could be any older than 13 or 14 if she didn't have a kid as of 14 years ago. so, like i said, her daughter has to be more around molly's age.

If gretchen is her daughter and she is definately 17 or 18 then its normal that she didn't had a kid with her 13-14 years ago. Most of all if she had to give it away or put it in hiding after she gave it birth.

I think that they will definately give us some answers on it soon so no matter what we all say right now its only speculation anyway.

I just think it would be cool if gretchen turns out ot be her daughter and also in danger cause through this we would know that actually gretchen is not a "bad girl" or that even if that she got forced to do things she didn't actually wanted to. Redemption is on call!

im sorry, im not trying to be rude but i dont understand what you're saying there. what im saying is 14 years ago lydia did not have a kid. so she must have had the kid within the last 14 years. that means the oldest her daughter could be is 13 or 14, and thats at the absolute oldest!! so that means it wouldnt be gretchen cause gretchen is 17 or 18. so unless the GN was wrong, its impossible for gretchen to be her daughter.

The GN doesn't say she didn't have a kid before that. She could have had and given the baby away before we meet her in that story. She'd be awfully young, but that's not impossible. The kid's age probably ranges from 18 to about 2.

imo, it does. on the first page of the comic is says lydia gets a "prophetic message". then the fortune teller says that whatever she saw was a "want" or "desire". generally the terms prophetic, want and desire are used for things u dont have. while its never stated that she doesnt already have a kid i think its pretty clear based on the context clues that what she saw was a vision of the future, not of the past.

like i said, i doubt her daughter is any older than 13 but its even more likely the her daughter is even younger.

..if you check out today's webisode, you'll know that Lydia had a child when she was a teenager.
