Full Version: Probably just a continuity error, but...

In season one, Peter's apartment number was shown to be 1407, but in "Ink", the number on the door said 643. Yet I never had the impression he'd moved. What do you think?

There was even a significance to the 1407, since it was the number of the X-Men school. Normally they pay attention to that sort of thing, don't they?
MattGillan
I think he moved. It was implied in the previous episode when Noah visited Peter. Noah noticed that his apartment was empty.
Gamistar
On the other hand, there's no reason for him to stay in the same apartment.
For example, maybe he lost his original flat during the whole fugitives thing?
Leek
Pete was presumed dead for a long while there, do not forget. So I guess we can assumed they sold/gave up the lease on his apartment. So now he needs a new pad.

Hiro teleported to the Carnival, and looked immediately into the "Seer" tent, where he was seated. Then, he later watched himself walk towards the "Seer" tent. Then, the slushy spilleed on his shirt, and in the very next shot of him was in a different position. When Nathan and Angela sat down to eat and the view was them through the door, the sushi was already on the table, then it showed them as the server put the sushi down. THOSE are errors..I think Peter just got a new pad as everyone pointed out. (preferrably one Nathan and HRG can't enter before him!)

It would fit Noah's "I like what you've done with the place" line if he knew that Peter had gotten a new place during the six week interim
GoldSeven
Hm, no, I fear it's actually an error.

Look at these two shots:

It's the same. smile.gif
Leek
Hey the second link isn't showin anything for me unsure.gif
GoldSeven
Should be working now!
yeslek
its fair to assume he moved BUT I was under the impression it was the same apartment (we can probably all agree it's the same set at least) but obviously it's not...maybe its just another room in the same building smile.gif lol

However, isn't that also the same apartment that was used for the Bennets in the past when they first got Claire?

Perhaps that's more to do with sets more than continuity.
GoldSeven
Well, of course it's sets. But it would have been nice if they'd remembered to stick the same number on his door again. wink.gif
Synch
Unless I'm blind, that's seriously not looking like the same apartment.
RiddlerHanjinome
Yeah, it looks different to me, too.
TessaBlues
I'm looking at caps and it looks the same to me. The glass double doors leading to his bedroom, the fact that his front door is right by his kitchen. It's the same apartment.

Though if they ever wanted to say he moved we could just take into account that every baddie that has ever been after Peter knows where he lives. laugh.gif
HERΟ
Cool, so it's probably just a continuity error with the apartment numbers? Those are fun to find... smile.gif

End o' discussion? laugh.gif
Synch
Not really.

There are some similarities, but at least as many apparent differences (according to at least 2 of us, lol).

Not to mention *gasp* 2 apartments look similar. It's not really unheard of. lol
RiddlerHanjinome
Yeah, I lived in a building (recently) where all four apartments were almost identical. laugh.gif

Yeah, it's not like he really had a job for a year, so his mom could've stopped coverin' the payments... laugh.gif

Yeah, I really didn't expect the discussion to end with ya... wink.gif

However, I really don't think much more could be said from either pov at the moment that could change anyone's mind about another perspective, so it's neither here nor there if folks think it's a continuity error or that he moved (and it wasn't explained in the story yet), until there's some official answer (bummer there aren't any BTE's or Ask HEROES! vid interviews anymore... sad.gif ). Otherwise, folks are just paddin' their post counts... tongue.gif
GoldSeven
I think I can add something more definite. wink.gif

"Eris quod sum" was on last night on German TV, in which we see quite a lot of Peter's apartment again, and I can now say the two are definitely the same. Stripped of all decorations but the same layout and the same colours. It's really hard to see the similarities when the place looks so bare and naked now, but Claire was standing at exactly the same entrance to the kitchen in EQS that Samuel vanished around in "Ink", you could also see the kitchen behind it. It's the same set to a T.

Maybe it's intentional. Googled 6-4-3 and it turns out to be a baseball term for a "double play".
Would be nice if someone is giving us a clue to Peter's future motives.
Probably just an error.
