Did anyone else find these scenes oddly funny? I mean, someone killing themselves is not funny, but the situation made me laugh so hard! Poor Hiro!
EvolutionisNear
Lol! Yes, they were so funny to me. He found 47 ways to copy his butt. ahahahha
Jade95
Oh I know I laughed till I cried at one point it was hilarious! laugh.gif
baottousai
Aha yea I felt so bad for Hiro, going back in time like 47 times xD all he had to do was talk to the guy
SaberProductions
You mean, all he had to do was say "Hey, I'm dying and I'm not throwing myself off of buildings."
Leek
XD

Definitely a learning experience for Hiro.

And yeah, it was sad but way more funny that he was killing himself because of butt pictures LOL
ColorMeToxic
Warm and fuzzy, guys. Warm and fuzzy.

And saaad. sad.gif

those scenes was hilarious after a while. i loved the whole storyline, and i love that each and every time he "copied his butt". and i liked the lesson that was woven in between.

I could have seen it ending another way. Hiro realizing that this guy really was just a jerk who disgraced his family, that there was no way to make him a better person and he was just destined to take a header off the roof.

Or to put it in other terms, not everyone who calls for help really wants to be helped.
purple_tangerine
Yesss, those scenes were hilarious. We were half expecting Hiro to push him off at the end... XD

yeah a lesson like that would have been appreciated too. probably too "heavy" for hiro's storyline tho.

i also love how at the end, ando goes "the guy with the famous butt?" lol! it's like he found so many ways to photocopy his butt, makes you wonder what he did the 47th time.

Takashi Day. biggrin.gif

I'm in two minds about that storyline. Of course, it was very funny in places and nicely bittersweet in others, and it served to drive home two points to Hiro: One, how stubbornly the past can refuse to be changed, and two, how important it is to be truthful to those you love.

I couldn't get over how he was overexerting himself to save that one bloke's life. I mean, he doesn't have much time left. Literally. And he has even less time-travel left, as every usage brings him that much closer to dying (at least that's what I'm led to believe). So instead of doggedly going through 47 different ways of butt-copying, he probably should have started on his very, very recently designed mission...

I couldn't stop laughing every time Hiro spooked Takashi.

It was Tadashi, sorry. Just so we can call him by his proper name. wink.gif
Begemot Geroi
The scene got kind of annoying to me (I hated the movie Groundhog Day with a passion), but I really liked the last scene that he and Tadashi had together where Hiro told him he was dying. I thought that was very touching.
oliveFoxx
It was hilarious! The first time since I don't know when I could really laugh about Hiro's plot.

B...bu...but you called him Takashi. blink.gif

I was pretty torn about this GroundhogDayesque event. While it sort of made me chuckle, it seemed oddly childlike/childish, and the writing seemed a little amaturish. It was probably my least favorite part of the episode. Not that I hated it, or even didn't like it, it just didn't tickle me in that certain way.
LowerTheBar
^^ I felt the same. It was enjoyable to watch, and got a little chuckle out of me, but it didn't seem to fit right. We learned in the first few episodes that Hiro was going to try to go back in time and change just one tiny thing without the butterfly effect. However in this episode, while he tries to do that, it's completely ineffectual and he ends up just talking to the guy to keep him from jumping. Great result, but as far as overall plot development goes? Weak. It went with the episode theme of "Acceptance" but it broke with his overall story of fixing the mistakes in the past before he dies without creating new ones.

Even mods make mistakes if they don't speak Japanese. laugh.gif

I confused him with Ando's last name, Takahashi, I suppose.

Those were my favorite parts of the whole episode !!
BlueBolt
Sadly, I would have let him jump after the 2nd or 3rd time I went back to save him. Of course I would have said some nasty things to him right before he did and, who knows, it may have caused him to not jump, but I was all for pushing him off myself.

Ando's last name is Masahashi andoface3.gif

Harrrrggh!

Okay, somebody tell me where I got Takahashi from. I suppose I somehow mixed it with Takeshi's Castle. biggrin.gif
