I really liked Hiro tonight. After saving Tagashi twice, he came to realize that he must tell Kimiko the truth about what happened. It was a very moving moment between the two of them and it was a very emotional scene. I see many more emotional scenes coming in the future.

Actually, if you wanna get technical Hiro saved him 47 times..just saying.

And his name was Tadashi. wink.gif

It was kinda funny, this Tadashi guy. As Hiro said, he must really have hated his job! Or really damn dumb! rolleyes.gif I suggest both! But anyway, liked his multiple travels back! It was a nice metaphor for his own life lessons!

I guess that's why I like Hiro so much (along with his time travels of course)! There is life lessons surrounding his ''heroic'' attemps! Almost always! You can't say as much of the other characters!

Anyway, since we're on the Hiro topic, let's talk about something: Where/When do you think he went in the end? The way he said ''fine'' at the end, after his headache... He, like, smiled, right? Did he had some kind of vision? You know, like the one he had of the Carnival, that could be a solution to his problem? That's my theory but, even if my theory is wrong, surely he went somewhere and/or somewhen!

Like I said in a similar topic somewhere, I thought that last scenes between Hiro and Tadashi, as well as Hiro and Kimiko were very touching. They were a nice breath of fresh air.

It was the Fuller touch, definitely. So sad this was the last episode he wrote. sad.gif

I'm glad you brought that up...I'd forgotten about that until now. Hiro definitely had a little "smile" after his headache attack. It also gave me hope and made me think that maybe he's realized that he will be ok or he's figured out how to cure himself.. Crossing my fingers!

He's gone back to meet up with Linderman.

Ah well, if only. I think this storyline's rubbish. It's just Earl's karma list from My Name is Earl, with a bit of Groundhog Day thrown in for good measure. So much for character development. Hiro tried to save Charlie lots of times and found that he couldn't do it, but now he just needs to learn a valuable life lesson and he can save someone who hardly wants to be saved.

I liked it. A lot of people have complained about Hiro and Peter in the past about them being overly powerful. Thats why peter can only have one power at a time now. And so I think this gives those people what they wanted while keeping Hiro interesting. From his whole thing with tadashi, his way of thinking is probably going to be different. He knows he can go back in time to change JUUUUST the right thing (like when future hiro talked to peter on the train), but he also knows that time traveling isn't always the best solution and shouldnt be the first thing he thinks to do

I've never actually heard anyone say that Hiro was too powerful, at least within the confines of the show itself. No one I've talked to ever said Hiro was too powerful.

Peter on the hand. I can see why people would say he's overpowered. That was a good thing though. He was just never written well or written to his full potential. Making his ability weaker wasn't a solution to anything. They just made him weaker.

It all started with a certain photocopy.

I dunno. I lurk a lot around here because I've been on here since around the time the show started and I remember some people saying that they didnt like how his power could always be used as a way out of a situation in some way. I think it was to do with the time traveling mostly. This was waaaay way way back though, before we knew any type of limits his power had. I guess the complaint wasn't really that either character was too powerful, just that they were always there as an opening for lazy writing out of a situation. SO, nevermind huh.gif

I think Hiro's problem that people complained about was just time-travel, and the paradoxes and other issues it might bring! Peronnally, I never minded, as I've builded my own time-traveling rules for Heroes which, until now, worked almost every time (and the few that didn't work, a very small twist in imagination make them works (like how comes the photo was taken before Hiro time-traveled? Someone else took it. How comes the formula was cut before Hiro time-traveled? Someone else cutted it.).

As for Peter, I personnally think it's a good thing they reduced his strenght a little! That's make thing more interesting!

Put it in computing words:

If Hero > Villain
show = not interesting;
else if Hero < Villain
show = interesting;

This is because, if the hero is too strong, then his victory is no surprise. However, if he's weaker, maybe even a normal human, he has to be brillant, and cunning! I think that explains Noah's popularity in this show!

I thought it was because jack Coleman is "THE MAN!"

That's what I figured, haha.

Honestly, with Peter, it doesn't matter how many powers he has. He wasn't written nearly as well as HRG was, that's why he was always so stupid. HRG, on the other hand, even without powers, was a G. It doesn't matter if you give HRG powers (hypothetically). If he had as many powers as Peter, he still would be an awesomely and well-written character. Obviously, I'm not saying we should give powers to HRG, never should we do that. I'm just merely stating that no matter how much strength a character has, if they aren't written well, they'll be dumb and not well-liked.

My guess -- his time is up, and he knows it. He travelled forward to the wedding to give his sister away. One last jump before it's all over.
GoldSeven
Oh! Nice theory.

That assumes that Hiro does actually die, which would be a storyline I'd love, but I'm not convinced of that yet...
