Can someone please tell me WHY there is still no clear purpose for this Circus man? Why does he want all of these Heroes to come "home"? Does that benefit him in some way? Does he gain some form on power by bringing them "home" and keeping them hostage in the circus. It seems once they are there the can't leave because Lydia seems pretty afraid of him if you ask me. Why is that? CAN WE KNOW SOMETHING? CAN YOU WRITERS GIVE US SOMETHING SO WE KNOW WHAT HIS PURPOSE IS?
Samuel wants to protect them from an hostile outside world. This is a direct continuity of last volume where specials were hunted by normals! Samuel and his Carnival are supposed to offer shelter and protection for special individuals! Like a haven! The thing is, he's doing so against their will, as they don't really want and/or need protection. Oh, and also, he takes revenge against those harming specials (pointed out with the Jeremy case).
He said so very clearly twice this season.

How about our friendly Japanese Hiro. He was actually my favorite character until the writers have made him into some bumbling idiot and its a shame since he has such a great gift as stopping time, going back in time, etc. When will his character start to grow as some of the others characters clearly have instead of making one idiotic mistake after another idiotic mistake? WHERE ARE YOU WRITERS GOING WITH HIRO'S CHARACTER.. HELLO!
They went for a character that, realizing his end is near, has decided to help the mistakes he did in the past. The rest of your comments, I'd say it's just personnal opinions on a character.

Can someone please tell me if they really care about the character who sees colors when sounds are made? WHO CARES? WHAT KIND OF POWER IS THIS ANYWAY?
Ok, two things here. One: Her power is somewhat offensive. Point 2, and this is the most important one: NEVER the show were some sort of X-Men/Spider-Man/Superman with the good guys fighting the bad guys. There is actually a lot more drama, plot and character development, and this is what Emma is about! Her power is not uber-strong, so what?

Why would they kill off Elle, I quite liked her character they could have used her throughout the series.
Oh, I liked her too! Actually, I think she would have made an even better lesbian love interest for Claire than Gretchen! I don't like to see characters I like out either. However, it adds nicely to the drama, so I don't see that entirely negatively!

What is with Sylar and Matt? Don't get me wrong I love the banter between the two and I understand why he locked him in his head but Sylar is the best character so WRITERS, can he PLEASE have his body back already so he can get back hell and mayhem..
I'm sure he'll get back there, especcially now that he has more control over Matt's body. Be patient! Althought a bad guy, it happens that Sylar have his part of problems, too. He's included in the drama/plot-line/etc. along with the other characters.

And last but not least. What is up with the plot itself? The stories should be more united like season one or there should be some common purpose to unite each character becasue as of right now I dont understand where the show is going if it is going anywhere at all..
- Claire is harassed by Rebecca to join the Carnival;
- Peter got a visit from Samuel because he's a new empath that might join the Carnival. Note that apparently, Samuel's brother Joseph was an empath;
- Hiro got helped by Samuel, who hopes he'll join to replace their own time-traveller Arthur in the Carnival;
- Matt is psychologically harassed by Sylar so that he can bring him back to his body... which happens to be in the Carnival;
- Noah is back into investigating since Danko's death, which is related to the Carnival;
- Even Tracy got a visit from the Carnival, and right now she own one of their ''compass''.
One word appear in every of those sentence: Carnival. They all got something to do about it! And they relate somewhat with each other: Peter acted with Sylar as if he was Nathan, because he thought he was. Sylar's ''soul'' is in Matt's head. Peter also helped Noah's investigation on the Carnival, and Noah works with Tracy lately. Oh, and Peter (again! lol) also went with Noah to find a way to heal Hiro! Hiro helped Emma understand her new ability, and Emma appears as a new potential love interest for Peter. Only Claire seems a little bit isolated from all this, but she did had one episode where she was always with her father, and she still relates to the Carnival thanks to Rebecca. And she'll probably call again Noah next episode, even the Haitian, considering what happened in Strange Attractors! So Gretchen and her still blend in with the rest!
Sorry, this is all kinda off-topic I guess (we're supposed to talk about this rumor of ''final season''), but I wanted to bring up a defense for this season, which is actually pretty good! Sure, I guess nothing will ever beat season 1! I mean, even if it ends up being better written and better acted, I think for us Season 1 is a classic that can't be imitated! But things are going well right now! Not too fast, not too slow, nice new characters, interesting development for the old ones, some nice romantic relationships... Yep, I'm not complaining this season! (Ok, I never complain much anyway, but still... lol)
