Prologue

"Please, don't hurt me. I-I have a wife and kids! Y-you can't do this to me!" the man pleaded, whimpering, "I'm innocent!"

A figure loomed over the "innocent" man, pointing his gun at the defenseless male.

The figure said in a dark, cracking voice, "You have hurt innocent people! You aren't any more innocent than Hitler! You don't deserve to live."

"No, I didn't do anything! He forced mt to work for him! To hunt the s-specials." the man whimpered again, his last word coming out as a whisper.

The figure made a scoffing sound and put his finger on the barrel of the gun. The man decided then to blurt out a confession.

"Fine! I did it! I killed them! But he made me! Come on, James! You know I wouldn't do anything to harm you..."

The man trailed off as James lowered his gun.

"No," James said, raising the gun, "I can't let you live."

He pressed the trigger and watched as the bullet flew through the air.

Chapter 1: Normality

James bolted up in his bed, gasping for oxygen. His breath came out low and short as his chest slowly rose in the darkness. James reached to his left and fumbled for his lamp switch. The light clicked on and bathed the room in a yellow glow. He sighed and dropped his weary face into his hands.

James swung his leags over the side of the bed and stood up, pulling on a shirt in the process.

At 18 years old, James Landry Trackmen was very handsome. He possessed blond, spiky hair and angelic, sky blue eyes. He stood at approximately 5 feet 11 inches and was slightly built.

James tiredly dragged himself downstairs and heavily plopped on the couch. He replayed the dream in his mind, dissecting the images.

"I'd never be so cruel." he whispered, trying to assure himself.

"What are you talking about?"

James whirled around and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Jesus Christ, Samuel! Don't sneak up on people like that!"

Jame's 16-year-old brother, Samuel William Trackmen, was leaning against the stair railing, his arms crossed. The dim light bounced off of Samuel's face, casting shadows across his young features.

"Stop changing the subject."

"It was just a bad dream. Let it go, Samuel. Anyway, you have to come with me to the grocery store. I need some help around there."

"Fine." Sam's voice sounded strained but James ignored the hidden anger.

All I got for Chapter 1. Short...yeah...

BUT, I used my Heroes Wiki account to make character bios. Unfortunately, I have no ideas for Samuel Trackmen.

But here's what I got. This also includes the other main character who I haven't introduced yet.
