I really like how Hiro told the kid the story of how it happened the first time around. The kid told him that the villain always has a black cap while the hero has a white cap. Then we see Sylar as he was when the show started in the black cap and the kid knew right away that he was a villain. I really liked this scene.

And then Sylar stares at the cap and puts it on, grins, and goes to murder him some cheerleader? Classic Heroes.

Hiro's opening into the episode nearly brought tears to my eyes. And that's quite a feat. I'm just not an emotional person. I think even people who never saw season 1 would have understood the importance of Charlie to Hiro. It was a great way to make people care right from the very beginning of the episode.

The opening scene with him and the kid and Sylar gave me S1 chills.
