From the fans, viewers, and the nay-sayers.. Who would you rather see go between these two... (no spoilers) just a question...
Requiem191
Well, I would like to see both of them go from the show, or at least their characters. Sylar has outlived his stay and Nathan should have died a long time ago.
GeneSplice
Has anyone else heard Pasdar is gone?

Maybe you should be let go Req glare.gif

I love them both. I think the show could be okay without Nathan. I think it might not be okay losing the edge of Sylar. Lose Sylar, lose the show perhaps.
bozinka
Ok I admittedly haven't watched in a while... but Nathan always seemed a tad... well... extraneous. Sylar on the other hand... Gotta love to hate him, right?

Be mad at me all you want, it's simply my opinion on the matter. I don't hate Sylar. He's a great character, but there's only so much that can be done with a villain. When it comes to Nathan, he's died so many times, I really don't care about him anymore.

Great characters that both, imo, have done what they need to do and need to be taken off the show. I don't sugar coat my opinions. If people don't like that, so be it.
Leek
Oh yeah? Well let's see what Flats the Flounder has to say about that, shall we?

He say's he'll kick your butt. Hmmm... Cryptic...

Both, Nathan is dead and has been a character very abused, Sythan is a farce and a joke... and... I'm SO SICK of Sylar, he should have died at season first. glare.gif

Personally Leek, I'd rather "lose Sylar and lose the show" then let it live on and continue to be, as I've seen some say "The Sylar Show."

Sylar long ago passed the "love to hate" phase and just became an all-around over-used god-modded character. Seriously, consider RPing with a character like that, no one would want to because you could never actually win. Sure, you'd think you'd won, but really you'd done exactly what the villain wanted you to do. I mean sure that's fine to pull once or twice, but anything ad infinitum gets boring really fast...

So as it's probably pretty easy to tell, my vote went to Sylar. Nothing against ZQ as an actor (love his portrayal of Sylar and Spock, etc), but the way the writers have destroyed the character.

Sylar.
I once loved him but now I'm just sick of this character. I really like Nathan and I think there can be done much more with his storyline, even if he's dead - you know, time-travelling and all this. Hiro has done it for saving Charlie so sure Peter will do it to try to save Nathan. Would be dramatic and interesting.
Raekon
Too bad there is no option for both cause I think that both characters run their course and they both need to go or replaced by new interesting characters like Samuel as example.

I voted for sylar to go in this one since we already know that nathan is gone anyway.
Zakath
I'd rather see Adrian let go but Sylar killed. Nathan's character has outlived his usefulness. Keep around Carnie Gabriel.

I would have kept Adrian Pasdar. If they had played their cards right with the real Nathan they could have had him trying to find his redemption through political action for his misdeeds last season. But instead they picked Sylar in the irratating way that they do. It's come to a point where you can't even love to hate him anymore. They act like he's their bread and butter but from what I've seen most people are sick of him. I'm included in that little group since I loved him at one point, but now that everyone else has to be rendered stupid for him to exist I just can't stand him. So instead of keeping a character with a story they could actually do something with, we are treated to another season where they try to convince us Sylar is a victim. Then he will proceed to go back to his wicked ways and learn nothing in the process.

I agree they ended the real Nathan's life too early. Sylar has to die for good this volume since he has reached the end of the road in the story department.

Sylar used to be awesome, but after S3 I dislike him more than I like him..I say kill Sylar, which also gets rid of AP since the only reason he's on the show is because of the Sylar character anyway.

Nope...no love...just hate.

I've never cared for Sylar. To me he was much more interesting as a shadowy, faceless, killer. Once they revealed him to us I thought "Really...this is Sylar?...really?". I've been waiting since season one for them to finally kill him off so they can move on to bigger, better, things.

But then again I don't really care much for Nathan either. He's always been such a tool.. glare.gif

It's sad that their fates are tied together.

I know sad.gif If things had been different, I'd love to have AP still on as Nathan, and just have Sylar gone...but now getting rid of Sylar gets rid of two characters. Even if one of the characters is more just memory than the actual character since his death.

This is going to come as a big shock coming from me, but I say get rid of them both. I LOVE Sylar and as far as I am concerned they can have 10 Sylars and I would never complain, but the character has run his course. However, I adore ZQ and I would love for them to find a way for him to stay, so I hope this blank slate side of him gets to stick around, because there is potential to generate interest.

And as much as I love Pasdar, the writing has been on the wall that he would die at some point. I don't want to see him go, but I think the character has run his course.

Totally agreed. Well, you said everything I wanted to say, so... that's the end of my post. : D

As much as I think Zachary Quinto is a great actor, Sylar has become a bad joke. He's not even a threat anymore. Write him out as soon possible, and the show would benefit a lot.
JazzG
I'd keep Sylar ahead of Nathan, while Nathan was a very good character the writers have tried to cling on for too long imo. He should of been killed off at the end of Season 1 but instead we have had to put up with him changing his mind as to whether he is good or bad.

To be fair they have messed up big time with Sylar's character as well but at least he back to being a bad guy, this show doesn't have another super villain so they need him here. But they need him to be a bad guy and predator, that is what made the character such a success in the first place.

I would agree with you there if we hadn't had Adam Monroe, Arthur Petrelli/US Government and now Samuel as the running supervillians of the last three volumes. I agree that his character was a great villian and predator in the first season and even for parts of S2 but after that he just seemed like extra.

I totally agree. While Nathan, with the Petrelli family dynamics, his issues with being morally gray and needing redemption, his love/hate relationship with Peter, and the fact that he usually saves the day(not Hiro, and not Peter, it's always Nathan saving the world), he's a much more interesting character than Sylar. It's past time Sylar should have been defeated, but he always comes back, to the detriment of the show.
I would have added Adrian or Ali Larter, Adrian or Greg Grunberg, and Adrian or Sendhil. Larter's 3 characters haven't added anything to the show, Mohinder's character has no relevence any more, and no matter how many new powers they give Matt, he is still a boring, wimpy character that fails at even his most valiant sacrifice. He can't even kill himself to kill Sylar. Even if this show does manage to get renewed for another season, I won't be watching.
