The one with Peter and Nathan(Sylar) ganging up on Angela is awesome. Make her talk boys.

Oh this is going to be awesome and I can't wait to see it. We're in for a really great ride. Peter and Nylar confronting Angela; and the stuff at the Bennetts. I can't wait to see all this and to see the story behind Doug a little. I don't really trust that guy and I got the same reaction from both Noah and Claire. He really seems like a douchbag to me and I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Looks like Lyle Bennett is doing a 'Chuck Cunningham' ala Happy Days. ohmy.gif

I'm only interested in the Peter, "Nathan", and Angela confrontation. The Bennett family, not so much. How many times am I gonna hear Claire whine "I'm a freak!", "I'm not normal!"?
TsaiMeLemoni
This is actually the first time since season 1 I've been anticipating Claire's storyline, if only because it brings HRG and Sandra together and I love how the actors play off of each other. Also, I think it'll be comical to see Doug's reaction as the evening progresses at the Bennett thanksgiving..

I am not really looking forward to the Nathan/Peter/Angela scenes, surprisingly. I'll be glad to see Cristine Rose back on screen, but I just can't find my self able to care about what's happening there. I am glad that Nathan finally realizes he's dead though, that made the last episode so good.
GoldSeven
I agree, we finally need a solution to the entire Sylathan thing. I'd had expected it would come out with a huge bang, and now it's out and relatively little has changed.

(And I want Peter to kill Sylar... won't happen, but I can dream...)
TsaiMeLemoni
I think that is what has made me so apathetic about their story in next week's episode...I don't know what I really expected after Nathan found his body and then realized he was really Sylar, but I hoped to see more of a reaction from him. Especially from Peter...his arch-nemesis has possibly (since he can't seem to believe it even for a second) killed his brother and has masqueraded around as him for several weeks, and he's so calm about it?

Oh well, bottom line I am still enjoying the show, so I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride, and save my reservations for once the entire storyline has been wrapped up.

I think Peter for once is playing Sylar. He knows that in order to manipulate Sylar he can't grieve infront of him. I really think Peter get stronger powers the last time he took something from Nathan's body. We could be seeing the end of the "evil" Sylar here.

I don't think you should give up on an explosive from Peter just yet(I could be wrong). I think the reason we haven't had a "big bang" yet is because Peter's in denial. He might understand logically but he doesn't seem to have emotionally accepted the idea that Nathan is dead. I get the feeling that Peter's denial is a precursor a lot emotional explosions coming from Peter.

I agree. I never got the feeling Peter was calm- just in denial.

We know the episode after next is called "The Fifth Stage." There are five stages of grief, the last of which is acceptance. Sylar even made a reference to denial in "Brother's Keeper" when he told Matt: "I don't have time for the five stages of grief. Let's just skip denial and go straight to acceptance."

Precisely, according to my quick google search the so called 5 stages of grief are:

From http://www.essortment.com/all/stagesofgri_rvkg.htm

QUOTE
1-Denial-"this can't be happening to me", looking for the former spouse in familiar places, or if it is death, setting the table for the person or acting as if they are still in living there. No crying. Not accepting or even acknowledging the loss.

2-Anger-"why me?", feelings of wanting to fight back or get even with spouse of divorce, for death, anger at the deceased, blaming them for leaving.

3-Bargaining-bargaining often takes place before the loss. Attempting to make deals with the spouse who is leaving, or attempting to make deals with God to stop or change the loss. Begging, wishing, praying for them to come back.

4-Depression-overwhelming feelings of hopelessness, frustration, bitterness, self pity, mourning loss of person as well as the hopes, dreams and plans for the future. Feeling lack of control, feeling numb. Perhaps feeling suicidal.

5-Acceptance-there is a difference between resignation and acceptance. You have to accept the loss, not just try to bear it quietly. Realization that it takes two to make or break a marriage. Realization that the person is gone (in death) that it is not their fault, they didn't leave you on purpose. (even in cases of suicide, often the deceased person, was not in their right frame of mind) Finding the good that can come out of the pain of loss, finding comfort and healing. Our goals turn toward personal growth. Stay with fond memories of person.

It's pretty obvious that Peter is currently still in "denial". The bottom line is that once Peter reaches "The fifth stage" he's going to become much stronger, both emotionally and perhaps "physically" via the evolution of his ability.

I agree that he's in denial. I hope we get to the anger part soon. And make it count, Pete!!

I agree, he's in denial. I think once the events of Thnaksgiving play out he's going to freak. I hope the blowout is huge!

I think we got a hint of this in the last episode when Peter threatened to kill Matt Parkman. He definitely ment business! I havent seen him that blood thirsty since he activated IA in volume 3...

That's a good point. Sylar certainly took him seriously when he made that threat.

You think Peter will seriously kill the evil portion of Sylar during the next few episodes? Could Peter actually be stronger in his rage then Sylar ever will be?

What? I didn't say one way or the other on Peter being able to kill Sylar in the near future. Just that Peter was clearly willing to kill over Nathan and that Sylar believed that he would if not prevented.
Phoebegirl319
Yeah, Peter is definitely in denial. Didn't he say at the end of the episode to Nathan, "Even If I were to believe that (that meaning Nathan is dead and the Nathan in front of him is actually Sylar) is true..". Honestly, I mean, who would believe that? It's kinda crazy...

As long as she doesn't get killed I'm all up for it. smile.gif

Ugh why does Gretchen have to come back? They gave her a perfect exit, and now they've ruined it. Facepalm. I hope it can at least tie into the volume's theme, maybe give her a leave on a more 'forgiving' note or something.

Well at this point can anyone deny that she doesn't kinda deserve it.? Not from Sylar, because as crappy the things are that people have done to him he's a monster way past redemption. I mean even the Haitian, who we know has done some shoddy things in her service, ratted her out. She's got no allies left. Not that any of her allies are squeaky clean. I guess I'm torn between hating her and understanding how desperate she had to be to do what she did.
